Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra aluminum dummy reveals design

Pictures of the aluminum dummy of Galaxy S25 Ultra have been revealed. Samsung is expected to launch its new flagship phones in January next year. The latest leak gives us a closer look at the expected design.
David from @xleaks7 leaked aluminum dummy images of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The dummy unit showcases that Samsung will feature its signature design in future flagships. The backplate remains the same, but the corners are getting refined further.
The dummy shows S25 Ultra could have five circular cutouts for the camera setup. The front side has thin symmetrical bezels, while the Infinity-O display exists. The earpiece area is also visible above the punch-hole camera cutout.
The dummy unit measures 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25 mm, aligning with the CAD renders revealed earlier. This means the Galaxy S25 Ultra could be slightly taller, narrower, and thinner than this year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The camera design remains the same but the ultrawide sensor is upgraded. The S25 Ultra is rumored to come with a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The 3x Telephoto and 5x Periscope sensors could be replicated from the S24 Ultra.
Galaxy S25 Ultra will run Android 15-based One UI 7.1 out of the box. Samsung is said to be working on improving system animation and fluency. It will include additional features and enhancements over the Android 15-based One UI 7.

Samsung launches Galaxy S25 Edge: A 5.8mm slim marvel with ultimate specs

Samsung dropped a game-changer today with a new flagship handset launch at the online event. Samsung today officially launches the Galaxy S25 Edge, its slimmest smartphone packed with ultimate flagship specifications.
At just 5.8mm thick, it’s the company’s slimmest phone ever, yet it packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 200MP camera, and a gorgeous OLED screen.
Samsung launches Galaxy S25 Edge – Let’s dive into what makes it special.
Sleek Design, Featherlight Feel
The Galaxy S25 Edge measures a mere 5.8mm, outdoing the 2015 Galaxy A8 by a full millimeter. At 163g, it’s surprisingly light for its 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, matching the Galaxy S25+ in size.
The QHD+ screen boasts a 1-120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster for crisp, vivid colors.
Built Tough, Despite the Slimness
The phone’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 display offers durability and vibrancy. Its titanium frame, borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, adds strength, while an IP68 rating keeps dust and water at bay. It’s ready for daily life.
200MP Camera
Samsung slimmed down its 200MP camera by 18% to fit this thin frame, a feat shared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Paired with a 12MP ultrawide lens that doubles as a macro shooter, it captures stunning shots.
All cameras record 4K 60fps video, and the main 200MP sensor can handle 8K 30fps. With 10-bit Super HDR for images and videos, colors pop. The primary camera also delivers 2x optical quality zoom for sharp, detailed close-ups.
The 12MP front camera nails selfies and video calls.
Performance and Software
Samsung’s S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, keeping pace with the rest of the S25 models. It features 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.
Out of the box, it’s loaded with One UI 7.0 on Android 15, with seven years of updates promised. Galaxy AI offers tools like Audio Eraser, Drawing Assist, and Gemini with Gemini Live. Features like Now Bar, Now Brief, and Writing Assist boost productivity.
Battery and Charging
A 3,900mAh battery powers the slim smartphone, lasting a full day with typical use – Samsung claims. In addition, the device supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
You’ll also get 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB-C port, plus Samsung Pay/Wallet and DeX support.
Colors and Price
The Galaxy S25 Edge comes in three sleek shades: Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Silver. It’s priced at €1,249 in Europe and $1,099 in the US, slotting it between the Galaxy S25+ and Ultra in cost.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge pre-unveiling live images shows the device up close

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone in less than 12 hours, but its live hands-on images have appeared to give us an up – close look and a brief comparison with Ultra variant.
These images shared by Android Headlines give the first look at the real S25 Edge units, including that titanium build. The device looks fairly identical to the S25 Plus in terms of height, but a major cut in thickness is highly visible.

Source – Android Headlines
An image shows three titanium colors – gray, blue, and black. Notably, the rear side has that vertical pill shape camera bump containing two lenses – a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide angle alongside a LED flash. The wide camera can zoom upto 2x, since the phone doesn’t have a separate telephoto camera.

Source – Android Headlines
A side by side comparison with the S25 Ultra reveals the reduced thickness, which is about 28-30%. The reduction made to achieve this thin design can be seen in the top and bottom margin of the charging port, which is very low. Also, the speaker, microphone, and the card tray are placed differently than the S25 Ultra.

Source – Android Headlines
It’s expected that the S25 Edge will be about 5.84mm thin, which is compared to the S25 Ultra’s 8.2mm thickness. The Galaxy S25 Edge specially focuses on its premium yet slim body to enable a better grip and light user experience, which is apparent in live images, showing that Samsung has achieved its development goal.
But design is not the only thing that you may find interesting in this device as Samsung also provides high-end specifications such as Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. So, you can expect the same level of performance as S25 Ultra.
On the other hand, it will be IP68 rated and run One UI 7 (Android 15) out of the box, including latest Galaxy AI features.

Samsung has 10 trillion won sales deficit against TSMC

In the past two years, Samsung Electronic’s foundry business has seen a downstream and its arch nemesis TSMC has marked the lead in the competition, creating more than 10 trillion won ($7 billion) revenue difference in the first quarter.
According to the Q1 2025 results announced, Samsung’s Device Solution division, mainly responsible for semiconductor products, posted 25.1 trillion won ($17.7 billion) in revenue in Q1 2025. This is a 9% year-over-year increase compared to 2024, but a 17% decline compared to Q4 2024.
Samsung confirmed that the sales are led by server DRAM and NAND demand. However, downstream in HBM sales has majorly impacted the overall outlook. This is due to the export controls on AI chips and low-demand of enhanced HBM3E products.
The weak performance is also contributed by seasonal demand shifts in major applications including mobile, customer inventory adjustments and stagnant utilization rates in the company’s foundry business.
TSMC, on the other hand, posted 839.35 billion Taiwanese dollars (around 37 trillion won) revenue, a 42% YoY increase. This jump also comes on the face of adversities in the market faced by Samsung Electronics. The revenue number shows that Korean tech maker a 10 trillion won behind in the revenue game against the world’s largest semiconductor producer.
In 2021, Samsung achieved steady growth in the semiconductor industry with rapid sales, overtaking market giant Intel. This growth dwindled in the Q3 of 2022, allowing TSMC to increase sales lead.
Last year, the two companies recorded 28 trillion won in the second quarter, but TSMC posted 3 trillion won higher in the third quarter, which increased to 8 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2024. In Q1 2025, Samsung foundry business is trailing 10 trillion won sales of TSMC.
Samsung is looking to strike a major deal with Nvidia, the largest AI solution provider, which relies on TSMC for the majority of its productions, providing additional momentum in TSMC’s sales performance.
Some reports indicate that Samsung and Nvidia are talking about a potential deal on fifth-generation HBM3E supplies. However, a final decision on this matter is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, TSMC has forecasted sales between 39 trillion to 40 trillion won, which still 10 trillion won ahead of Samsung’s second quarter forecast.
