Samsung One UI 7 Galaxy AI features wishlist
Samsung One UI 7 is set to introduce new AI features for Galaxy phones. After the initial Galaxy AI arrival, Apple is bringing Apple Intelligence with iOS 18. Samsung has also introduced new AI features with new foldables to counter Apple’s entry into the segment.
Samsung One UI 7 Galaxy AI features wishlist
Galaxy AI brings both on-device AI and cloud-processing-based features. The latest frontier of Galaxy AI debuted on July 10 with the Galaxy Z6 series. Nevertheless, we are excited about more new and useful AI features with the 2025 iteration.
Enhanced on-device and cloud AI
Galaxy S24 and Z6 series powered by Gemini Nano AI model. Google is working on Gemini Nano v2 with more AI capabilities, power efficiency, and reliability. It would benefit smartphones equipping the new AI model developed by Google.
The mixed suite of AI features is beneficial in many ways. Consumers don’t need to worry about privacy with on-device AI features. At the same time, consumers get quite useful image and video editing tools as well as wallpaper generators through cloud-based AI.
OS-level writing tools
One UI 7 should follow Apple’s edge of system-wide writing tools. Galaxy’s next major Galaxy AI upgrade should introduce features like rewrite, proofread, and summarize that work across all apps. Upgraded writing assistance will surely help Galaxy users in their everyday tasks.
AI notifications
Notifications are the most important aspect of our smartphones. Whether it’s a phone call, text message, or social media interaction, the notification function is the key to all. Due to multiple apps and services, users often face a condition where arrangement becomes a tough task.
Apple Intelligence managed to address the problem with the Priority Notifications feature. Artificial intelligence learns the usage patterns and importance plus priority of notifications. Based on deep analysis, the OS displays priority notifications on top followed by others.
Image and video enhancement
One UI 6.1’s Photo Editor added many useful tools for pro-editing in less time. Many third-party AI-powered photo editing apps are loaded with cool features. Samsung should adopt such tools to offer an effortless editing experience on Galaxy devices.
Smart Circle to Search
Circle to Search is a great feature that debuted with the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung and Google expanded it to their flagship devices. Besides, Google is working to fulfill its commitment to installing Circle to Search on 200 million devices worldwide.
This functionality should be further optimized with system functions. The addition of the translate button is worth praising and we need Circle to Search to evolve further. Apple’s iPhones don’t have any feature similar or equivalent to Circle to Search.

Samsung kickstarts Galaxy A56 5G development
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G next year. Recently, the former model reportedly entered the development phase. The phone has been listed on the IMEI database, making its first appearance online.
Smartprix spotted the Galaxy A56 5G on the IMEI database. The listing suggests that the Korean tech giant has started working on the smartphone. It is expected to launch alongside the A36 5G around March next year.
The listing revealed Galaxy A56 5G as the official marketing name alongside the SM-A566B/DS model number. The model number suggests that the phone will continue to support Dual SIM slot functionality alongside a 5G network.
The Galaxy A56 5G could use an Exynos 1580 processor. The new chipset reportedly packs newer CPU cores from ARM and an AMD GPU. It could be a 4nm or 5nm SoC, featuring four Cortex-A720 CPU cores and four Cortex-A520 CPU cores.
It is reported that one of those Cortex-A720 CPU cores is clocked at 2.91GHz. The other three cores will likely be clocked at 2.6GHz, whereas the four Cortex-A520 @ 1.95GHz. The GPU could be the next-gen Xclipse GPU on the AMD RDNA2 architecture.
The smartphones will come pre-installed with Android 15-based One UI 7 software. The company is reportedly readying a new 6-year update policy. If the rumor turns true, both the A56 and A36 would be eligible for the same software lifespan.

Samsung pauses Galaxy S23’s One UI 6.1.1 rollout due to camera glitch
Samsung has reportedly pulled the Galaxy S23’s One UI 6.1.1 rollout. Starting September 12, the company pushed the new One UI update to its older flagships. However, a weird camera glitch seemingly forced to halt the rollout.
It looks like Samsung stopped Galaxy S23’s One UI 6.1.1 distribution. Earlier, the lineup started getting the update in Europe, India, and other markets. There is a weird flaw in the S23’s camera zoom function, which is suspected as the reason.
Users report the bug causing ghosting in photos captured at zoom levels between 16x and 19.9x. Surprisingly, the native camera app is only affected; you can capture accurate images through the Expert RAW app.
This issue doesn’t affect any other phones, so only the rollout for the S23 Ultra was halted. It was recently reported that the company has acknowledged the issue and working on incremental firmware to address the glitch.
Consumers who have installed One UI 6.1.1 will receive an incremental update. Other users who missed installing the release will get the update with the camera fix included. We hope the rollout will continue in a short period of delay.
Temporary Fix:
Open your Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera settings and head towards the Intelligent Optimization function. Switch the current setting to Medium quality, which would make things better. Using the Expert RAW is also an option to avoid the glitch.
