One UI 6.1.1 Camera features, supported Samsung devices announced
Samsung formally announced the One UI 6.1.1 rollout for older Galaxy devices. Now, Samsung revealed all the new camera and gallery features arriving on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet with One UI 6.1.1 update and Galaxy AI suite.
One UI 6.1.1 debuts enhancements to various camera and gallery features. It includes upgrades to Flex Cam and Instant Slow-mo as well as Gallery’s Live Effects and Motion Clipper, and Photo Editor’s Portrait Studio and Convert Sketch.
Do note that all the enhancements won’t be expanded to every eligible model. The feature distribution will be based on hardware specs. Auto Zoom of Flex Cam is exclusively available on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and 6.
Auto Zoom of Flex Cam
The Auto Zoom feature supported on the Z Flip 6 and the ability to shoot like a camcorder with the Flex Cam has also been applied to the Z Flip 5.
- This feature only applies to Z Flip 5/6 and does not apply to Z Fold 5/6.
Instant Slowmo
Instant slow-mo is also available in HDR Video format in the Gallery app. A menu allowing Galaxy users to save the section watched is added at the top left in Gallery UI. You can also share the slow-mo video using the share sheet without saving it separately.

Samsung rolls out September 2024 security update to Galaxy A14 5G
Samsung Galaxy A14 smartphone users are getting a new update with a September 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. This update is live in India and will be available soon in more markets.
The fresh update makes your Galaxy A14 5G smartphone more reliable, stable, and secure. However, the update does not include any new features or changes except monthly security maintenance.
September 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G smartphone can be identified through One UI build version A146BXXS6CXHA. The update package is about 228.30MB in size.
Notably, the September 2024 security update fixes several issues to enhance system security. This includes 1 critical and 43 high-level security issues. It’s worth noting that 1 CVE was fixed in earlier updates and 1 does not affect Galaxy devices.
Also, Samsung is adding 23 of its own security improvements to enhance the user experience. Beyond security enhancements, the update delivers performance improvements and stability-boosting fixes.
Users of Samsung Galaxy A14 5G smartphone can easily check and install the update via a few easy steps:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Software Updates from the menu.
- Tap on the Download and Install option to initiate the update process.

Galaxy Store now requires Samsung Account for App downloads
Samsung today confirmed Galaxy Store won’t let you download apps without a Samsung Account logged in. Presently, Galaxy Store allows you to skip the Samsung Account login page for 14 days, but it will now mandate you to log in.
Following the Galaxy Store 6.6.13.10 update, Samsung published a notice stating the requirement of a Samsung Account to be logged in. The notice also spotlights that you won’t be allowed to download and install stuff without a Samsung Account.
Starting September 25, 2024, you must be logged in to your Samsung Account to use the Galaxy Store app and service. When you launch Galaxy’s app Store, if you are not logged in to your Samsung Account, you will be prompted to log in.
The majority of Galaxy users login Samsung Account during the initial setup. In case you are not one of them, act fast, otherwise, you will leave access to the Galaxy Store. The company says the requirement will be effective starting September 25.
