Samsung Galaxy Z Flip update

Like every month, Samsung has revised its software release schedule in September 2024. This time, the updated plan makes significant changes for some Galaxy device users. The tech giant has officially revealed that four Galaxy devices will no longer receive software updates or the latest security patches.

Samsung has removed four Galaxy devices from its list of supported models, including Galaxy M31s, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7+. It indicates the end of the software update lifecycle for these devices.

Users of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7+ will no longer get the benefits of new features or the latest security improvements that Samsung releases.

Although these devices will continue functioning as they have been, they will not benefit from future updates. Samsung provides software updates for a set period, after which devices reach the end of their support lifecycle.

The removal of the device from the software update support list is an indication for users that they should consider upgrading to newer models to take advantage of the latest technology, security, and features.

Aside from this, Samsung has also shifted the Galaxy Note 20 series from a monthly update plan to a quarterly. Now, users of this series will get an update every three months.
