Verizon is rolling out the August 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy A54 smartphone in the US. This update is already available in Europe and the company will soon make it available for all models.
August 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy A54 comes with One UI build A546VSQU8CXH1 on Verizon network carrier in the US. The update improves system security and brings new functionality for better search.
The new update brings the Circle to Search feature to the Galaxy A54 smartphone. It provides information about objects, images, or text displayed on your screen. The results may vary by uniqueness, clarity, and framing of the circle image and related factors.
To use this feature, an internet connection is required. You just need to touch and hold the Home button to enable Circle to Search, then simply circle the content using your finger to see additional details.
However, Samsung does not make any promises, assurances, or guarantees as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the output provided by AI features.

Redesigned Galaxy S25 Ultra render gives better look at what could come
Samsung will likely introduce its next-gen flagship phones early next year. Recently, Onleaks leaked the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which has some major differences from the redesigned render posted by Samsung insider Ice Universe.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Render: CAD Vs Redesigned
The redesigned Galaxy S25 Ultra render showcases the thinnest bezel in any flagship yet. The symmetric bezel seems even thinner than the one in Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Thanks to the redesign, the phone could be an outstanding creation.
The leaker points out errors in the bezel and metal middle frame of the CAD rendering. While the middle frame seems hidden in the CAD render, the redesigned render displays a visible middle frame that radically improves the front appearance.
Coming to the rear side, the redesigned render ditch texture-filled camera rings. While the arrangement of sensors remains the same, the rings in the redesigned variant match the S24 Ultra, which is a highly welcome change.
Samsung debuted the texture-filled camera ring with Galaxy Z Fold 6. The real unit looks way better than the one shown in leaked renders. However, it still lags behind the elegance of camera rings that arrived in Samsung’s Ultra models.
Before you go, take note that the rear panel design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still unknown. The same thing was spotlighted by Ice as the phone is still at prototype level. Meanwhile, we don’t expect any radical modification in sensor arrangement.
In the next few weeks, we may have a better idea of what could be coming. As soon as the device details reach suppliers, the design mystery will resolve. Until then, you can enjoy the rendering as a grain of salt that said bye-bye to sharp corners.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra aims to upstage Apple’s Satellite lead
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could finally challenge Apple’s Satellite lead. The smartphone has recently been certified by the CQC authority in China. The document suggests key information about the device including charging support.
Satellite connectivity support is finally coming in Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (via IceUniverse). It’s a pretty useful feature, which may become a boon when you are in need of help but have no network coverage to reach emergency services.
Google’s recently launched Pixel 9 series also supports satellite messaging features. It seems Samsung was waiting for Google to adopt the technology. Now, certification of an alleged S25 Ultra indicates at arrival of Samsung’s Satellite SOS tech.
Apple, with iPhone 14, introduced the Satellite SOS functionality. Huawei has also introduced various features through Satellite communication. The Chinese phone maker expanded the feature across devices including smartwatches.
Galaxy S25 Ultra design:
Yesterday, we got our first look at the Galaxy S25 Ultra courtesy of Onleaks. The smartphone features slightly rounded corners and iPhone-like flat frame. The camera ring design is in question, which may vary from the leaked renders.
Apple’s Satellite SOS tech:
With Emergency SOS via satellite, if an Apple user cannot reach emergency services because no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage is available, an easy-to-use interface appears on the iPhone to get the user help utilizing a satellite connection.
Starting with iPhone 14, the US tech giant brought Satellite SOS to new iPhone models including the iPhone 16. Samsung was facing criticism over neglecting such a feature that become a basic functionality in flagship phones nowadays.
45W wired charging:
Samsung’s 45W charging tech will continue to debut in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company is not considering to boost the charging speed on its next flagship. It shows the commitment to offer a reliable experience without thinking about the race of Watts.
