At Gamescom 2024 in Germany, Samsung launched Odyssey 3D, which offers glasses-free 3D viewing. The company is thrilled to present its glasses-free 3D monitor. It remains committed to leading the premium gaming monitor market.

Thanks to light field display tech, the Odyssey 3D creates lifelike 3D images from 2D content. The product uses a lenticular lens on the front panel. It offers an optimized 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses.

The Odyssey 3D gaming monitor’s Eye Tracking tech monitors the movement of both eyes using a built-in stereo camera. Besides, the View Mapping continuously adjusts the image to enhance depth perception.

Samsung is offering the Odyssey 3D in two sizes: 27-inch and 37-inch. It features a 4K resolution display, a rapid 1ms gray-to-gray response time, and a 165Hz refresh rate. Odyssey 3D can seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D modes.

Aside from this, Samsung’s Odyssey 3D brings an ergonomic design featuring a Height Adjustment Stand (HAS), tilt capabilities, FreeSync Premium, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Odyssey 3D’s fast response times and high refresh rates ensure smooth action.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could beat Apple iPhone 16’s A18 and A18 Pro SoCs in CPU and GPU performance. In the latest reveal, the performance benchmarks of Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon floated online.

IceUniverse leaked out alleged OnePlus 13‘s Geekbench scores that use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The benchmark suggests a groundbreaking development in the Android world. The next flagships will challenge Apple’s decent chip segment.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy set to outpace A18 and A18 Pro of iPhone 16…

Apple recently launched the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineups. The new iPhones are equipped with new A18 and A18 Pro, respectively. The leaked Geekbench score of OnePlus 13 apparently outpaced both Apple chipsets.

The iPhone 16’s A18 scored 3018 single-core and 7751 multi-core points. Apple’s A18 Pro used in iPhone 16 Pro models reaches 3114 and 6666 points on Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

In the same benchmark, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scored 3236 and 10049 points, respectively, in the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark. The scores will likely increase further with software optimization and go beyond expectations when used in Galaxy S25.

Qualcomm will offer Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy to Samsung. The Galaxy S25 lineup is expected to get a slightly better variant of the next Snapdragon. Paired with One UI, the performance could surpass A18 Pro by a huge margin.

Apple A18: It’s a 6-core chipset, which is used in Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The processor is manufactured using a 3-nanometer process technology. It has 2 cores at 3780 MHz and 4 cores at 2000 MHz.

Apple A18 Pro: Powering the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the A18 Pro is a 6-core SoC. Similar to A18 and A17 Pro, it is fabricated using a 3nm process node. It flaunts 2 cores at 3890 MHz and 4 cores at 2200 MHz.

Samsung will likely introduce its next-gen flagship phones early next year. Recently, Onleaks leaked the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which has some major differences from the redesigned render posted by Samsung insider Ice Universe.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Render: CAD Vs Redesigned

The redesigned Galaxy S25 Ultra render showcases the thinnest bezel in any flagship yet. The symmetric bezel seems even thinner than the one in Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Thanks to the redesign, the phone could be an outstanding creation.

The leaker points out errors in the bezel and metal middle frame of the CAD rendering. While the middle frame seems hidden in the CAD render, the redesigned render displays a visible middle frame that radically improves the front appearance.

Coming to the rear side, the redesigned render ditch texture-filled camera rings. While the arrangement of sensors remains the same, the rings in the redesigned variant match the S24 Ultra, which is a highly welcome change.

Samsung debuted the texture-filled camera ring with Galaxy Z Fold 6. The real unit looks way better than the one shown in leaked renders. However, it still lags behind the elegance of camera rings that arrived in Samsung’s Ultra models.

Before you go, take note that the rear panel design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still unknown. The same thing was spotlighted by Ice as the phone is still at prototype level. Meanwhile, we don’t expect any radical modification in sensor arrangement.

In the next few weeks, we may have a better idea of what could be coming. As soon as the device details reach suppliers, the design mystery will resolve. Until then, you can enjoy the rendering as a grain of salt that said bye-bye to sharp corners.

Satellite connectivity support is finally coming in Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (via IceUniverse). It’s a pretty useful feature, which may become a boon when you are in need of help but have no network coverage to reach emergency services.

Google’s recently launched Pixel 9 series also supports satellite messaging features. It seems Samsung was waiting for Google to adopt the technology. Now, certification of an alleged S25 Ultra indicates at arrival of Samsung’s Satellite SOS tech.

Starting with iPhone 14, the US tech giant brought Satellite SOS to new iPhone models including the iPhone 16. Samsung was facing criticism over neglecting such a feature that become a basic functionality in flagship phones nowadays.

Samsung’s 45W charging tech will continue to debut in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company is not considering to boost the charging speed on its next flagship. It shows the commitment to offer a reliable experience without thinking about the race of Watts.
