Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store launches for Android (Galaxy/Pixel) and iOS (iPhone). The company announced Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe are all coming to the Epic Games Store for iPhones, Android, and AltStore.

The Epic Games Store for Android is available internationally, while the iOS variant is limited to the European Union. The store is launching with Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe, and the all-new Fall Guys for mobile.

The developer is also working to enable all developers to bring their games and apps through the Epic Games Store in the future. Epic Games is also said to be bringing its games to independent mobile stores including AltStore PAL starting today.

Epic Games also blamed Google and Apple for poor-quality install experiences. It is expected that the Games Store will make it easier to install apps and games in the future. Epic is also collaborating with third-party mobile app stores.

How to download and install:

EU iOS users and all Android users can access the Epic Games Store and games. It will be the same experience as users have been able to do on open platforms like PC and Mac. Epic says developers and consumers will benefit from competition and choice.

Earlier, Epic Games delisted the Fortnite game from the Galaxy Store. The decision was seemingly aligned with promoting its own Game Store. Galaxy users can now install the Epic Games Store to get their favorite titles.

Samsung One Hand Operation Dual Messenger

Samsung has announced that it will soon add support for the Dual Messenger feature to its One Hand Operation+ Good Lock module. This new support, which many users have requested, will make it easier for people to use two accounts of the same app while navigating their phone with just one hand.

Dual Messenger lets you run two different accounts of the same apps on your phone. The feature does not work with the One Hand Operation mode but is now expected to come soon.

A Samsung community moderator has confirmed that many Galaxy users have requested the Dual Messenger execution function for the One Hand Mode feature. Further, he has mentioned that although the current version does not support Dual Messenger, the team has already been working on bringing this support.

Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged the issues that users are facing and promised to bring Dual Messenger support with the next One Hand Operation+ update.

This next update is expected to make multitasking more efficient for users who rely on One Hand Operation. It will allow them to quickly switch between two app accounts.

While there’s no exact release date for the update yet, Samsung users can look forward to the new feature being available soon. Keep an eye out for the next app update to take advantage of this new functionality.

Google Messages to let users customize group chat icons

Google messages Group chat icon

Google Messages is finally adding a feature that many users have wanted for a long time, the ability to set custom icons for group chats. At the moment, group chats in the app use a default icon, which is just a grid of users’ initials or profile pictures.

Many people have asked for the option to change the grid option, and it looks like Google is finally bringing it soon. This new feature has been discovered in a beta version of the Google Messages app by AndroidAuthority.

The codes of the fresh version of the Google Messages app show that users will soon be able to upload their own images to use as group chat icons. It means you can choose a picture that represents the group, instead of just the default grid.

Moreover, the future update will make group chats easier to recognize and more fun. It will also bring Google Messages like other popular apps including WhatsApp, which already lets users set custom images for group chats.

Custom icons will make it easier to identify which group chat you’re in, especially if you’re part of many different groups. Since RCS works over the internet, the custom icon should appear for everyone in the group, not just the person who set it.

However, it’s unclear whether anyone in the group can change the icon or if only admins will be able to do it. It’s also not clear if iPhone users will be able to see the custom icons, as RCS works differently on iOS. Stay tuned for more information.

WhatsApp sharing feature

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will make it much easier to share messages, photos, videos, and other media with other apps. This new beta update WhatsApp Beta for Android arrives with version 2.24.25.20, available through the Google Play Beta Program.

The new feature adds a bottom bar to the WhatsApp app, allowing users to quickly share content with other platforms. When you want to share a message, photo, video, or GIF, you’ll have the option to send it directly to apps like Instagram and Facebook.

It means you can post media from your WhatsApp chats as stories on Instagram or Facebook without needing to download and upload the content manually.

Moreover, WhatsApp is also planning to expand sharing options to include other popular platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Snapchat. If you want to share an update from a WhatsApp channel, the app will generate a special link, making it easy to share channel content across other platforms.

To give users more flexibility, WhatsApp will add a “More” option to the new interface, allowing you to share content with even more apps beyond those listed in the bottom bar.

This new sharing feature is currently under development, but it will be available in a future update. For now, beta users can test this feature by installing the latest version. Keep an eye out for this feature in upcoming updates as WhatsApp continues to improve the sharing experience.
