WhatsApp new feature

WhatsApp is introducing a new chat theme feature for Android users through a new beta update. The latest version of WhatsApp Beta is 2.2.4.17.19 and is available through the Google Play Beta Program.

The new feature of WhatsApp lets users customize their chat appearance with a default chat theme. It allows users to choose their favorite colors for chat bubbles and backgrounds. New themes make your chats more visually appealing and personalized.

The feature is currently under development and the preview of this feature shows that it will let you pick from at least 10 different chat themes. Once you select a theme, it will automatically apply to all your conversations to change the colors of chat bubbles and wallpapers to match your choice.

Notably, the chat theme colors will only affect the appearance of the app for the individual user and will not alter how conversations appear to others. However, future updates might offer options to set different themes for specific chats.

Previously, WhatsApp introduced a similar feature for iOS users that allows them to customize chat bubble colors. This new update for Android shows that WhatsApp is working to bring the same level of personalization to both major platforms.

The default chat theme feature is still being developed and will be included in a future update. The feature is not yet available, but once it is, you will be able to access it through the app’s settings. Stay tuned for more information.

WhatsApp Updated Tab

WhatsApp introduces a simpler way to create both status updates and channel posts from the same section in the app with a new beta update. The update is available with version 2.24.26.13 on the Google Play Beta Program.

The fresh beta update brings the redesigned “Updates” tab. WhatsApp now lets users create status updates and channel posts from the same place. There are new shortcuts that make it faster to upload photos and videos directly from your gallery as a status update.

In addition, you can create text-based status updates or record and share voice updates with just a few taps. The update also improves the floating action button, which now lets users do more with one click.

WhatsApp new feature

WhatsApp is testing a new feature with the latest beta update version 2.24.26.9, which will allow users to translate chat messages and channel updates. This feature is currently under development and will be available for beta users soon.

The new translation feature will let users automatically translate all incoming messages or choose to translate specific messages individually. This will help users better understand messages written in different languages to make it easier to communicate with people from around the world.

Notably, the message translations will happen directly on your device, without sending any data to third-party services. This means WhatsApp can maintain its end-to-end encryption to ensure privacy.

The translation feature will also work offline. For that, users can download language packs in advance to allow them to translate messages even when they don’t have an internet connection.

Through this feature, WhatsApp plans to make the translation process quick and simple. But you can’t use WhatsApp fucntions without the internet like sending or receiving messages, watching status, and more. Still, you will soon be able to translate received messages offline.

However, keep in mind that the translations might not always be perfect, as they will be processed offline and may have occasional errors.  Stay tuned for more updates.
