Samsung insider reveals bold new Galaxy S25 Ultra design

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might get a bold design overhaul. The phone will have slightly rounded corners, unlike the sharper ones in previous models. The device would surely beat its opponent in the 2025 flagship smartphone market.
IceUniverse posted an image that aligns with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra design. The image is based on the recent authentic leaks that surfaced about the phone. We expect to see prototype-based CAD renders in the next few months.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra could ditch sharp corners in favor of slightly rounded ones. This design change is aimed at addressing the concern of crushing palm. Users complain that the sharp corner makes it difficult to use the phone single-handedly.
Despite removing sharp corners, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will continue to feature S Pen. The body will have a dedicated compartment for the stylus, meaning the Note spirit will live on. Bezels could be symmetrical, offering an elegant feel on the front.
As per the previous reports, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could continue 5000mAh battery and 45W fast charging. The camera and display segments are said to see a major revamp – aimed at upgrading the overall user experience.
The phone could get a 50-megapixel ultrawide and 50-megapixel 3X telephoto. The 200-megapixel camera could be the same as the previous model, while the 50-megapixel periscope and front camera will also remain unchanged.
In addition, the Ultra model will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy. Qualcomm has fueled the chipset with a new Oryon CPU, which is said to bring significant performance improvements – rivalling Apple’s flagship SoC.

10,000 Samsung Galaxy S series phones improve efficiency for Chicago’s Police Force, USA

Chicago Police Department (CPD) in the USA is now using 10,000 Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones to help officers work more efficiently and stay connected with their communities. These new phones reduce the time officers spend on paperwork and help them access important information while on the job.
Several Galaxy phones feature Samsung DeX, which lets officers switch between using the phone as a mobile device. It connects your phone to a larger screen in their vehicles for a desktop-like experience. In addition, Samsung Knox security ensures sensitive information is kept safe.
This partnership with Samsung began in 2018 and has grown to include the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) as well. Now, both police officers and firefighters use Samsung devices to stay connected and access critical data quickly and securely while protecting the city.

Before the new phones, officers used large laptops in their vehicles. With the Galaxy smartphones, they can now carry all the tools they need right in their pockets. They can access state and local databases, check permits for events, and even report issues like potholes or broken traffic lights directly from their phones.
The new devices have also helped save time. Thanks to Samsung Knox, setting up the phones is now much quicker, cutting down setup time by 75%. This means less work for the city’s IT teams and more time for officers to focus on their duties.
Samsung Galaxy S series phones are making it easier for Chicago police and fire teams to serve their communities. With the new smartphones, officers can work more efficiently and stay connected.

Samsung One UI 7 rollout won’t match iOS or Android speeds

Samsung has frustrated Galaxy users with continuous delays in the One UI 7 rollout. While the Beta 4 reportedly dropping next week, there’s no tentative timeline provided for the Stable update’s availability on compatible models.
Android 15 was rolled out to Pixel phones in October 2024. Apple has also released the major iOS 18 update to eligible iPhones in September last year. Samsung, meanwhile, is still Beta testing the Android 15-based One UI 7.
Though the update is already late, it was anticipated that the One UI 7 will be available swiftly, but Samsung already has an excuse ready. That said, the One UI 7 rollout won’t match the speeds of Android and iOS updates.
Samsung reiterated it’s working hard to open the One UI 7 update rollout. However, the company still believes that “rolling out a major software update across multiple flagship devices at the same time is a complex process.”
No doubt, each model has different hardware configurations, optimizations, and carrier requirements that need to be carefully tested. Beta Program helps identify and fix issues before the final version is released to supported devices.
Android and iOS are already the biggest examples of what’s possible. Keep Android aside (as Pixels sales volume is low), Apple provides the new iOS updates to the oldest eligible iPhone on the same day as its most recent and expensive device.
Apple has an edge due to its control over hardware and software. Samsung maintains a close relationship with Google, and Galaxy devices deserve to be treated the same way as Pixel phones and iPhones when it comes to software updates.
But, the One UI 7 won’t be rolled out to eligible Galaxies at once. The software update’s availability would expand sequentially. However, Samsung may amaze users with a fast pace of expansion, covering premium models within March 2025.
