Fresh WhatsApp Beta lets admins hide community group chats
WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update for Android devices with version 2.24.17.5. This beta update brings a new feature to WhatsApp that allows community admins to control the visibility of specific group chats.
According to the WABetaInfo, the fresh WhatsApp beta update introduces a visibility feature for community group chats. Now, community admins can choose to hide certain group chats from the general view when creating new groups.
With the visibility option, only invited members and community admins will be able to see these hidden groups. This setting ensures that sensitive or exclusive discussions remain private.
Once a group is set to hide, its visibility cannot be changed after it has been added to the community. This helps to maintain the confidentiality of certain discussions within the community.
Previously, WhatsApp had announced plans to develop a feature to manage the visibility of community group chats. Now, with the release of version 2.24.17.5, this feature is being tested by some beta users.
With the fresh WhatsApp version, the new feature makes it possible to better manage and organize community interactions. Notably, it is available to select beta testers who update to WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.17.5 via the Google Play Beta Program. The feature will be rolled out to more users over the coming days.
Aside from this feature, WhatsApp Beta users are also testing the Group Description option for communities. Admins can now choose to describe what your group is about to help members understand what to expect before joining. However, it is not mandatory so you can leave it blank.

WhatsApp Beta introduces public figure voices for Meta AI
WhatsApp has released a new update for its Android app with version 2.24.19.32, which brings a new feature for Meta AI voice. Available via the Google Play Beta Program, the fresh update adds a new feature that allows users to customize the Meta AI voice.
Earlier, WhatsApp was testing customizable voices for Meta AI. The latest beta version expands this feature, offering users the choice of several different voices for Meta AI. These include three UK voices and two US voices, each varying in pitch and tone to suit different preferences.
In addition, users will be able to choose from four voices modeled after public figures, although their identities have not yet been disclosed. WhatsApp users can select a voice that matches their preferred accent or tone and is pleasant to hear.
The new customization option for WhatsApp aims to make interactions with the Meta AI chatbot more personalized and engaging. Currently, this feature is only available with version 2.24.19.32 for Android in English, but WhatsApp plans to include voices in other languages in future updates.
As this feature is still in development, it will be enhanced before its official release. WhatsApp is working to ensure that it meets user needs and expectations.
WhatsApp Beta lets you create call links directly in group chats
WhatsApp is updating its app for Android devices with a useful feature for group calls with a new update. The latest version arrives with version 2.24.19.14 and is available through the Google Play Beta Program.
With the latest update, WhatsApp brings a new ability to create call links directly within group chats. Before, you had to go to the calls tab to generate a link for voice or video calls. Now, the latest update lets you make a call link from the chat itself.
Through this update, you don’t need to ring everyone in the group to start a call. Instead, you can share a link in the group chat to join the call. The new feature makes it easier to start and join calls in group chats.
Once you create the link, you can easily send it to the group, and members can join the call by clicking the link whenever they want. It’s particularly useful for big groups or people in different time zones who may not be available at the same time.
The call link feature of group chats is currently available through the WhatsApp beta update. The company will soon make it available for all users in upcoming stable updates.

WhatsApp Beta update introduces new feature for managing contact syncing
WhatsApp has rolled out a new beta update with version 2.24.19.12 for Android devices. It comes with a new feature to give users better control over their contact syncing.
According to the information, the new feature will allow users to manage how their contacts are synced with WhatsApp. At present, when you sync your contacts, they are automatically shared across all your linked accounts.
With this beta update, you will be able to turn off contact syncing for specific accounts. This means you can keep your contact lists separate and private, especially if you have multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same device.
If you decide to turn off contact syncing, all contacts saved to your WhatsApp accounts will be deleted. They won’t automatically restore if you change phones or reinstall the app.
On the other side, if you turn contact syncing back on, your contacts will be backed up and can be automatically restored across all your devices. The feature is currently under development, so it’s not available just yet. Stay tuned for more information.
