Study shows most used Galaxy AI features on Samsung phones

Samsung disclosed the top-used Galaxy AI features across Southeast Asia and Oceania. The company released findings from Samsung’s Consumer Marketing Insights Study on AI Perception. It shows high awareness for Galaxy AI across the SEAO region for both Samsung and non-Samsung users.

The study took place before the unveiling of One UI 6.1.1-based Galaxy AI. Consumers shared their experiences based on what they’ve got with One UI 6.1. Meanwhile, the upgraded Galaxy AI has a lot more AI and Gen AI stuff to attract people using a non-Samsung handset.

Consumers across Southeast Asia and Oceania recognize the potential of AI. Samsung’s AI advancements driving interest for four in five non-Samsung users to upgrade to a Samsung phone. Interestingly, two-thirds are using Galaxy AI while the most used features include:

  • Circle to Search
  • Chat Assist
  • Generative Edit

Circle to Search

AI helps consumers find information faster by streamlining social media and internet interactions with a simple and intuitive gesture. It’s crafted by Google and Samsung together, offering a new and unique way to select phones to search for everything that they want without any hassle.

Chat Assist

The AI-powered Chat Assist is integrated into various Samsung apps and Galaxy’s One UI services. This feature enables users to easily transcribe meeting recordings and generate summaries and translations.

Generative Edit

Generative Edit feature is powered by cloud-AI functionality and requires an internet connection. This feature enables users to easily resize, reposition or realign objects in photos to perfect a great shot.
