WhatsApp Recent Media feature

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature for community group chats with the latest beta (2.24.13.4) update. The recent community media feature of WhatsApp aims to make it easier for users to find and manage shared content.

The new feature will provide a dedicated section to view all media shared within their community groups, including photos, videos, and GIFs, as well as documents and links.

Moreover, the recent media feature of WhatsApp will list the shared items and display the size of each file, helping users manage their phone storage better. This is mainly useful for identifying and removing large files that may be consuming excessive space.

This update is still in the development phase and will be released in a future version of WhatsApp. The feature is expected to improve the community group chat experience by updating and organizing shared media.

WhatsApp Messages Reminder

WhatsApp has released a fresh beta update with version 2.24.25.29, which brings a reminder notification feature for unread chat messages. This new beta update is available for Android via the Google Play Beta Program.

Previously, WhatsApp only sent reminders for status updates from specific contacts, mainly those you interact with the most. With the new update, WhatsApp is expanding this feature to remind you about unread chat messages from your most frequent contacts.

These reminders are sent for messages from people you chat with the most. If you leave a message unread, WhatsApp will notify you to make sure you don’t forget to reply.

Notably, the app uses an internal algorithm to choose these contacts based on how often you interact with them. However, if you reinstall the app, this data will be reset, as it’s not saved in backups or on WhatsApp’s servers.

Once this feature is activated, WhatsApp will remind you about any unread messages from important contacts. WhatsApp also makes sure the reminders are relevant and helpful without being annoying.

This feature is currently available to limited beta testers who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp Beta for Android. WhatsApp also plans to roll it out to more users.

WhatsApp Voice Chats Actions

WhatsApp introduces new voice group chat actions to make it easier for users to start and join voice chats. This new feature arrives with WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.24.25.22, available via the Google Play Beta Program.

The fresh beta update adds a new floating action button above the message send button. This makes it much easier to start a voice chat in group chats.

Previously, users had to go into the group info screen or use an option from the top app bar. Now, the floating button makes the feature more visible and accessible to everyone in the group.

Moreover, some beta testers can now try out a new gesture feature. By simply scrolling up the conversation in the group, users can immediately start a voice chat. This makes it even quicker to start talking without any extra steps.

Aside from this, WhatsApp is expanding voice chat availability to smaller groups. Previously, voice chats were only available in larger groups of 32 or more members. Now, even smaller groups with just two people can use the voice chat feature.

Users can still choose to notify all members when a voice chat begins. If no one joins within 60 minutes, the voice chat will automatically end.

This update is currently available to some beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta version. More users will get access to these new features soon.

WhatsApp sharing feature

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will make it much easier to share messages, photos, videos, and other media with other apps. This new beta update WhatsApp Beta for Android arrives with version 2.24.25.20, available through the Google Play Beta Program.

The new feature adds a bottom bar to the WhatsApp app, allowing users to quickly share content with other platforms. When you want to share a message, photo, video, or GIF, you’ll have the option to send it directly to apps like Instagram and Facebook.

It means you can post media from your WhatsApp chats as stories on Instagram or Facebook without needing to download and upload the content manually.

Moreover, WhatsApp is also planning to expand sharing options to include other popular platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Snapchat. If you want to share an update from a WhatsApp channel, the app will generate a special link, making it easy to share channel content across other platforms.

To give users more flexibility, WhatsApp will add a “More” option to the new interface, allowing you to share content with even more apps beyond those listed in the bottom bar.

This new sharing feature is currently under development, but it will be available in a future update. For now, beta users can test this feature by installing the latest version. Keep an eye out for this feature in upcoming updates as WhatsApp continues to improve the sharing experience.
