April 2024 patch arrives on Galaxy S23 series, first update after One UI 6.1/Galaxy AI

Samsung has started receiving the first One UI 6.1-based software update with the April 2024 security patch for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. This update is already out for Galaxy Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9 series which also began grabbing One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI features in late March.

April 2024 security patch includes fixes from Google and Samsung. Google’s update mends one critical and 26 high-priority CVEs in the Android OS. In addition, Samsung has enhanced device security by resolving 17 specific vulnerabilities. The fresh update improves the system’s security and stability to provide a better and enhanced experience

Samsung Galaxy S23 series users are getting the April 2024 security update in Europe and the company will expand it soon in more countries. You can verify the software versions below.

  • S911BXXS3CXD2 – Galaxy S23
  • S916BXXS3CXD2 – Galaxy S23 Plus
  • S918BXXS3CXD2 – Galaxy S23 Ultra

Users can manually check for the update by going to the ‘Software Update’ section in their phone’s settings. If an update is available, they can use the ‘Download and Install’ option to update their Galaxy S23 smartphones to the latest security patch.
