We are in April 2024 and Samsung is releasing another March 2024 security update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The fresh update fixes the touchscreen issue of the Galaxy Watch 6 that users encountered in the previous version. It is rolling out for users in Korea.

The fresh update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 released in April 2024 arrives with version R930XXU1AXC2 and an installation package size of 136.34 MB. This fresh software version applies the latest stabilization code to enhance the touch function of the Watch 6 series.

A Samsung community moderator recently confirmed that the initial March 2024 update, carrying a software version ending with XB7, experienced a touchscreen issue. The ‘Touch to turn on’ setting was not being processed correctly within the watch.

As a temporary measure, the moderator advised users to deactivate the ‘Touch to turn on’ feature in the watch settings and assured them that a new software update would be released to address this problem.

For Galaxy Watch 6 owners facing the touchscreen issue, it’s recommended to install the latest update for a seamless experience. Updates can be installed by connecting the watch to a smartphone via Bluetooth and using the Galaxy Wearable app, or by enabling WiFi on the watch and checking for updates in the Settings.
