Samsung just recently published its revised list and details of April 2024 on the scope page. The main highlight of April 2024 is that the company has updated its software update policy for the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, removing them from monthly update plans.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series will follow this new quarterly update schedule instead of monthly. This means these devices will receive security updates every three months instead of every month.

Launched in 2020, the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series came with Android 10 and has since completed its three-year promise of Android updates. These devices are not eligible for Android 14-based One UI 6.0 or One UI 6.1 update.

If you are using devices from the Galaxy Note 20 or S20 series and are thinking about upgrading, then you can check the new Samsung Galaxy devices. Although these devices will still work properly, you won’t be able to enjoy the new features.
