As we approach the new year, hype for Samsung’s latest flagships is increasing. We have witnessed several leaks and rumors about the upcoming phones. A new report suggests Samsung Galaxy S25 series would offer a vibrant display and power efficiency.

According to Digitimes, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series could improve display color performance and power management. The report also highlights enhanced recording capabilities, potentially targeting the iPhone’s lead.

Display:

Rumors say the S25 series will use the same OLED panel as the S24 series. While Apple and Google opted for the latest OLED with M14 material set, Samsung is reportedly skipping the new tech.

Meanwhile, the latest report brings a piece of good news, at least for those expecting M14 OLED. The models are expected to sport enhanced screens that deliver vibrant color production.

Despite using the M13 OLED, Samsung’s upcoming flagships are slated to offer an elevated experience. The expansion of anti-reflective screen to all models would be worth welcoming.

Battery:

Samsung apparently sticking to the same battery decision as the S24 series. The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra will likely pack 4000mAh, 4900mAh, and 5000mAh battery, respectively.

The company has offered slightly improved battery capacity on Galaxy S24’s non-Ultra models. However, the upcoming Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra are unlikely to get any changes.

Samsung could be offering better power management on the next-gen Galaxy S phones. This will offer improved battery life on the new phones so you can use them more without charging much.

Snapdragon 8 Elite will help the Galaxy S25 series on the battery front. The chipset is manufactured using 3nm process technology, which will benefit users with longer battery life.

Launch Date? Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 series in late January 2025, meanwhile, you can stay updated with our extensive Galaxy S25 series coverage here.

MediaTek could help Samsung keep on evolving as Snapdragon price soars

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra One UI 7 Beta

Samsung is unlikely to use Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy S25 series. Qualcomm has increased the prices of the Snapdragon 8 Elite due to upgrades. However, MediaTek could help Samsung keep on evolving flagships as Snapdragon price soars.

Recently, it was reported that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 could be pricier than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Samsung Foundry is in trouble and there’s no hope for Exynos 2600 to be used in 2026’s Galaxy S26 flagship smartphones.

Chipset price makes a great impact on smartphone pricing. Samsung managed to freeze pricing by utilizing Exynos in previous flagships. However, the game has changed as consumers don’t want Exynos and Snapdragon continues to be pricier.

Korean media (via Jukanlosreve) believes that MediaTek could help Samsung flagships keep on evolving further amid pricier Snapdragon. If Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is to be exclusively used in the S26 series, we may not see any display and camera upgrades.

Chinese phone makers aggressively utilize the Dimensity chips, that decently rival the latest Snapdragon chipset. Exynos is uncertain but MediaTek is doing a pretty good job with its flagship Dimensity chips.

In the case of no Exynos, opting for Dimensity in the Galaxy S series is a better alternative. MediaTek’s prices are way too lesser than Qualcomm’s. Meanwhile, flagship Dimensity chips offer better performance than Samsung’s Exynos.

Samsung skipped upgrading the display and zoom camera on the S25 Ultra, as far as the rumors are concerned. It could be forced to replace the same pursuit on the Galaxy S26 series otherwise, the price freeze would be unavoidable.
