WhatsApp introduces call link feature to group and individual chats
WhatsApp for Android is rolling out a new beta update with version 2.24.21.29, which comes with a handy call link feature. This update makes it easier for users to start calls in both individual and group chats.
With this new feature, users can easily generate call links without needing to go to the Calls tab. The call link shortcut is now located in the chat attachment menu. Previously, creating call links was a bit complicated since users had to go to the Calls tab to generate them.
Now, to use the Call Links feature, simply tap the attachment icon while chatting. This makes starting a call faster and more convenient since you can do it right from your ongoing conversation.
Initially, the call link feature was only available for group chats, but now it works for individual chats as well. Many people might not have known they could create call links before, but this update makes it clear and easy to use.
This call link feature is currently available to some beta testers who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp from the Google Play Store. As the update continues to roll out, more users can expect to see this feature in the coming days.

One UI 7 vs One UI 6: What’s changed in Quick Settings panel
Samsung teased new Quick Settings of One UI 7, significantly rebuilt from One UI 6. The company is adopting squircle components across the interface. The new panel is crafted for user convenience while keeping an intuitive design.
The below-displayed Quick Settings could feature in One UI 7. The changes are almost confirmed, but the final version could be slightly different. Tipster IceUniverse recently revealed the S25 Ultra mockup with One UI 7 interface.
One UI 7 vs One UI 6 – Quick Settings
One UI 7 could bring updated Network and Battery indicator components. The new software could display the battery percentage inside the icon itself. In One UI 6, the percentage comes outside the vertical battery icon.
WiFi and Bluetooth tiles will be featured in the first row of Quick Settings. The refreshed design increased the corner curvature, matching the squircle appearance. One UI 6.1 panel has square tiles with slightly curved corners.
Next layout consists of key settings in a 4×2 arrangement, which can be expanded further. The layout separates itself from the blurred background through solid BG with transparency. The labels of toggles don’t appear, cleaning the look further.
One UI 6’s layout consists of 12 toggles, expandable with pagination. The layout is fixed format that doesn’t adjust itself to vacate place for other functions. In the left image, you can see Music Player widget between two layouts.
One UI 6 added key display settings in a separate layout consisting of Brightness Slider as well as Eye comfort shield and Dark mode switches. Next to this layout, you get two big tiles of Smart View and Device Control.
One UI 7 splitter the display layout into two different layouts. The first features a brightness slider alongside the Eye comfort shield and Dark mode. The latter menu included a Volume adjustment bar as well as toggles to adjust Sound settings.
Samsung confirmed One UI 7 Beta will launch by the end of this year. The Public version will debut with the Galaxy S25 series next year. We expect the Stable rollout for Galaxy devices could start in early February.
