Samsung started releasing a fresh security patch for the Galaxy S23 series in the US last week but it was limited to locked models. Now, the company is sending the March 2024 security update for unlocked models of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in the US.

Users of unlocked models the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are getting a March 2024 security update with PDA versions ending with BXBD. The company will soon make this update available in more markets.

However, the community moderator hinted that the One UI 6.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in Korea will arrive with a March 2024 security patch. Now it remains to be seen when the company will release this major One UI update, hopefully, it will be available at the end of March.

If you received the March 2024 security patch without One UI 6.1, install it as it brings you one step closer to the major update. To install you just need to visit Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

It is worth mentioning that the March 2024 security update fixes a bundle of issues to enhance security and stability. It addresses 2 critical and 35 high vulnerabilities in Android, and Samsung also adds 9 enhancements to its user experience, such as AppLock, Bootloader, and some services.
