March 2024 update for One Hand Operation + won’t fix Gesture Angle bug

Samsung One Hand Operation + One UI 6.1.1

Samsung‘s One Hand Operation + Good Lock module is expected to get the March update soon. However, some users have reported an issue with the gesture angle settings, which affect the recognition of horizontal and diagonal gestures.

According to a user’s feedback on the Samsung community, the gesture angle settings do not reflect the user’s preference and often result in diagonal gestures being applied even when the user intends to make a horizontal gesture. The user also claimed that many other users have the same issue, and requested the development team to check and fix it.

The community moderator responded to the user’s feedback and apologized for the inconvenience. He explained that the One Hand Operation+app’s gesture angle issue is caused by the touch movement at the time of releasing the gesture, which often draws a curve and makes the gesture look diagonal.

Further, the moderator also said that they are reviewing how to accurately classify and recognize the user’s gestures, but they are cautious about making changes that might affect the existing users.

However, the Good Lock team is working and has modified the gesture angle settings to allow a larger range for the diagonal gestures, but this change will not be reflected in the March update of One Hand Operation + as it is in its final stage. The company will release this fix to the next update of the app.
