Samsung Galaxy A55 5G 12GB RAM variant appears on Geekbench

Samsung will release its two new affordable phones soon and the devices have appeared on several certifications so far. Meanwhile, a new 12GB RAM variant of Samsung Galaxy A55 5G has recently appeared on the Geekbench platform, marking the phone as the first Galaxy A device ever to offer this much RAM.

As per the information of @TheGalox_, the Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone with 12GB RAM and SM-A556E model number has recently been spotted on Geekbench. Notably, the phone with 8GB RAM has already cleared the benchmark two times, but this 12GB RAM variant has appeared on the certification first time. 

The listing further shows the phone with an Exynos 1480 processor and Android 14 operating system. In addition, the Galaxy A55 5G smartphone also obtained improved scores in single-core and multi-core tests which are 1152 and 3453 respectively. 

It’s also worth mentioning that, with the 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, the Galaxy A55 will have more RAM than the Galaxy S24 in most regions.

Other key elements of Galaxy A55 include a 6.6 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate, a triple camera setup consisting of 50MP, 12MP, and 5MP sensors, a 5000mah battery with memory configuration of 8GB, 12GB RAM, and 128GB, 256GB Storage. Consequently, some leaks claim that the phone will be unveiled on March 11.
