Galaxy S24 Vivid display change is intentional, no fix coming: Samsung Spain
Samsung itself created confusion among consumers regarding the Galaxy S24 Ultra display Vivid mode change. In a recent development, Samsung Spain revealed that the change in colors and brightness of the Galaxy S24 display is intentional, denying any defect.
According to Teknófilo (via GSMArena), Samsung Spain issued an official statement relating to the Vivid mode display controversy of the Galaxy S24 Plus/Ultra. The company reportedly said that the change in colors and brightness isn’t a product defect, but intended.

Compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the new flagship produces slightly washed-out colors in Vivid mode. While the regular mode is all well, the problem is only with the Vivid model. Notably, the company earlier acknowledged the problem and confirmed a fix via software update.
Official statement as follows.
We have adjusted the colors and brightness of Galaxy S24 series products to provide more accurate and comfortable viewing during use.
Some changes have been made to the display technology to provide a more natural viewing experience, so users may notice differences in color depth compared to older devices.
This display behavior is an intentional color adjustment and is not a product defect, so it is safe to use.
To provide our customers with the best possible experience, we value your feedback and continuously improve our software (UX) as the market and consumer interests evolve. – Samsung Spain statement
As the new statement turns the debate by 180 degrees, only time will tell whether it’s a change or a glitch. The company could soon release the first software update for the Galaxy S24 series. It’s expected to come with various fixes for camera functionality and performance.
