New Features of Zoom for Apple Vision Pro

Personas: Users are represented by an authentic spatial representation of themselves in Apple Vision Pro, allowing other meeting participants to see their facial and hand movements.

Spatial Zoom experience: Zoom on Apple Vision Pro creates an immersive experience that can be scaled to the perfect size, which is ideal for users wanting to feel like they are in the same room as their colleagues and customers, without the need for additional physical equipment or setup.

3D object sharing: For some industries, like media and design, sharing 3D files is an important part of the workflow. While it’s possible to share these files on traditional screens, the experience will come to life when seeing objects in the context of an environment. For instance, an animator or game designer could collaborate and share the latest character model via Zoom’s 3D object sharing capabilities.

Zoom Team Chat: Team Chat is tightly integrated with Zoom Meetings and makes it easy to share information and connect with teammates. Apple Vision Pro users will be able to collaborate with colleagues and streamline communications using Team Chat in the Zoom app.

Real-world pinning: Users will be able to pin up to five Zoom Meeting participants anywhere in their physical space, with the option to remove the background of pinned participants, helping Apple Vision Pro users feel more connected to the people in the meeting.

WhatsApp Call Links Group

WhatsApp is updating its app for Android devices with a useful feature for group calls with a new update. The latest version arrives with version 2.24.19.14 and is available through the Google Play Beta Program.

With the latest update, WhatsApp brings a new ability to create call links directly within group chats. Before, you had to go to the calls tab to generate a link for voice or video calls. Now, the latest update lets you make a call link from the chat itself.

Through this update, you don’t need to ring everyone in the group to start a call. Instead, you can share a link in the group chat to join the call. The new feature makes it easier to start and join calls in group chats.

Once you create the link, you can easily send it to the group, and members can join the call by clicking the link whenever they want. It’s particularly useful for big groups or people in different time zones who may not be available at the same time.

The call link feature of group chats is currently available through the WhatsApp beta update. The company will soon make it available for all users in upcoming stable updates.

Facing Google Maps app crashes on Android? Try this quick fix

Published

Google Maps Crashing issues

Several Android users have recently reported that Google Maps keeps crashing. The issue affects Android users using both stable and beta versions of the app, specifically with versions 11.144.x and 11.145.x.

Users on various Android devices including Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones have noted that Google Maps opens normally but then closes suddenly after a few seconds. This makes the app unusable for checking maps or getting directions.

Notably, the issue seems to be more common for those on the Android 15 Beta, though people with the stable version are also facing the same.

If you’re experiencing this issue, you can try a temporary solution to fix it. You can uninstall recent updates of Google Maps, just need to go to the App info page, and tap on the Uninstall updates option and this may help to fix.

Since Google Maps is often preinstalled on devices, you can’t completely uninstall it. Older versions of the app don’t seem to have this problem, so rolling back to a previous version could be a solution for now.

As of now, Google hasn’t acknowledged the issue or commented on releasing a fix. Not everyone is having this issue, so if your Google Maps is still working, that’s good. If you facing the Google Maps issue, you need to pause updates until this issue is resolved. Stay tuned for updates from Google for a permanent solution.
