Some Galaxy device users are facing a Lock screen issue with the LockStar Good Lock module, which allows them to customize their lock screen. With the latest software update (One UI 6.0) the app is not working properly, and the device is entering safe mode unexpectedly.

Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables all third-party apps and services and allows only the essential functions of the device to run. It is commonly used to resolve problems caused by software glitches.

To fix the Safe Mode issue, users need to reset the Shortcuts app on the lock screen. To do this, users need to open Settings >> Lock Screen >> Lock Screen – Edit >> Tap the app shortcut icon at the bottom of the screen >> Select the app you want to use as a shortcut app or select None to disable it.

Users also need to update the Good Lock Lockstar app to the latest version (v6.0.0.5), which has improved compatibility with One UI 6.0. For that, you just need to open the Galaxy Store app >> Menu option >> Updates.

Additionally, Samsung is planning to release a software update that will completely resolve the Safe Mode issue. Users are advised to update their device software to the latest version when they receive the notification.
