Huawei to unveil its 2024 Galaxy Z Flip rival next month: Report

Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy S24 series, which is set to release later this month. The company’s next-gen foldable phones will be unveiled in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, Huawei seems to be introducing its 2024 Galaxy Z Flip rival next month.

According to Chinese media, Huawei is likely to launch its new flip-style foldable smartphone in February 2024. Weibo tipsters have been claiming that the company might not introduce its new foldable phone along with the P70 series flagships.

Back in November 2022, Huawei announced the Pocket S foldable smartphone, which is priced between 5,000 and 6,000 yuan. The next foldable handset won’t have much difference in pricing strategy as the company is striving to secure its dominance, at least in China for now.

Samsung, on the other hand, continues to dominate the global foldable smartphone market. The company lost its crown to Apple in terms of the highest volumes of shipments in 2023. However, the newly released Galaxy S24 series will surely help it gain its market leadership this year.
