As 2023 comes near its end, Samsung and other phone makers are planning to ramp up production in 2024. After a long-term slump, the global smartphone market is expected to grow next year. A new report reveals that Samsung aims to produce more than 240 million smartphones in 2024.

Sources of NikkeiAsia say that Samsung aims to churn out over 240 million Galaxy phones in 2024. This is about 9% higher than the order forecast the company gave earlier in 2023.

Thanks to the emerging trend of Generative AI, Samsung said that it aims to increase shipments of its Galaxy S Ultra model by double-digit percent next year as consumer sentiment is expected to improve.
