Samsung Galaxy A72 smartphone users have started receiving the October 2023 security update, which improves system security and stability to provide a better Galaxy experience. The update is available for Galaxy A72 users in North American countries including Mexico.

October 2023 Security Patch

The October 2023 security patch from Samsung addresses 2 critical and 32 high levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. However, 1 CVE was resolved by previous updates from the company, and 1 is not relevant to Galaxy devices.

Besides Google patches, Samsung offers 12 SVE items to improve user experience. The latest security patch fixes various issues related to Evaluator, Duo, Buffer Overflow in HDCP trustlet, system property, and more.

How to update:

To install the update on your smartphone, you just need to navigate toward your Galaxy Settings. Once done, visit the Software update tab and hit the Download and install button. Let your device connect to the OTA server and allow it to download the new firmware, if there’s any.
