Samsung Readies Galaxy S23 for Android 14 and One UI 6.0 Update Arrival
Since August, Samsung has been running the One UI 6 Beta Program. The Android 14 went Stable earlier this month, and Samsung is now readying the One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series. Inputs suggest that the rollout may begin very soon, and probably for all markets simultaneously.
The software server of Samsung listed BWJA as the latest Stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series. The build number is the same in the company’s key markets including the United States, Europe, and India as well as Canada.

So far, S23 Beta Participants have received six major Beta updates along with two hotfix releases. Still, there are a few problems left in the software skin, which will be fixed before the Stable release. By the end of this month, the Galaxy S23 series should start getting the new SW update.
US carrier Verizon may amaze Samsung fans by initiating the shipment of Stable Android 14. It’s also expected that the update may first come out in Europe or South Korea, with further expansion in other markets like the US, India, and Southeast Asia.
First major update for Galaxy S23
Launched back in February 2023, Samsung’s Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra smartphones will get their first major OS upgrade this month. The lineup is eligible for up to 4 generations of OS upgrades and at least five years of security patches.
With its Pixel 8 series, Google announced the new OS and software updates policy. The Pixel maker made the Pixel 8 series eligible for at least 7 years of Android upgrades along with 7 years of regular security patches and feature drop updates.
The South Korean tech giant may further extend its software offering for Galaxy flagships. If the history is any indication, the Galaxy S23 lineup will also be eligible for Samsung’s extended software support. It will only happen if Galaxy S24 introduces more OS updates than the current plan.
