Samsung‘s One UI 7 brings exciting changes to the Home screen of your Galaxy device, making it easier to use and more customizable. It provides a cleaner look, more ways to personalize your phone, and an easier way to find things.

Let’s explore the top One UI 7 features that make your Home Screen experience better than ever.

Samsung One UI 7 Home Screen Features

Simplified Home Screen Grid

One UI 7 offers a simplified Home screen grid. The layout has been redesigned to offer a more symmetrical and balanced look. This new grid makes it easier to organize apps and widgets while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.

With this change, you can expect more consistency across your Home screen to give it a modern, organized feel with impressive functionality. The grid layout also makes it easier to fit One UI widgets in standard sizes, so everything fits perfectly on your screen.

Enhanced Landscape View

For those who use their phone in landscape mode, One UI 7 brings improvements to make everything look more consistent. Now, widgets will appear in the same size and shape, no matter how you hold your phone.

Larger Home Screen Folders

One UI 7 also makes it easier to open apps stored in folders. Larger Home screen folders allow you to see more apps at once, so you can open them directly without having to open the folder first.

Finder Access

Finding what you need on your phone just got easier. One UI 7 moves the Finder search bar to the bottom of the Apps screen to make it more accessible with one hand. You can also add a Finder button to your quick panel for even quicker access, so you can search for apps, files, or settings with just a tap.

How to exit One UI 7 Beta and Rollback to Stable software

Published

on

One UI 7 Beta

Samsung has just kickstarted the One UI 7 Beta and many users have joined the Beta and installed the test firmware. If you don’t want to continue the One UI 7 Beta, you can exit the Program and rollback to the Stable software.

Joining the One UI Beta Program allows Samsung users to experience new features before the official release. The build contains bugs and instability concerns. You can simply exit the One UI 7 Beta Program and rollback to the One UI 6.1.

Here are some simple steps to follow in case you want to revert to the previous One UI version:

Step 1: Withdraw from the Beta Program

To officially leave the One UI 7 Beta Program:

  1. Open the Samsung Members app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings > One UI Beta Program status > Withdraw.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your withdrawal.

Once you withdraw, you won’t receive further Beta updates. Your device will no longer participate in the Beta Program.

Step 2: Roll Back to the Stable Software

Exiting the Beta Program doesn’t automatically remove the beta software. To revert to the stable release:

  • From phone:
    1. Check for the software update (Settings > Software update > Download and install), a Stable build should be made available to your device.
  • Via PC:
    1. Install the Smart Switch PC Version on your computer.
    2. Connect your device to the PC.
    3. Perform a rollback to the official release version using Smart Switch.

Note: When you roll back from One UI 7 Beta, all the personal data and apps will be removed due to a factory reset. Ensure you back up your data before proceeding.

Signed up for Beta but haven’t installed

If you signed up for the One UI 7 Beta Program but haven’t yet installed the beta firmware, the process is even simpler.

After withdrawing via the Samsung Members app, your device will continue using the current official version without requiring a rollback.
