Samsung’s community manager announced that starting with the One UI 6 Beta 3, the Genesis/KIA/Hyundai digital car keys supported by Samsung Pay/Wallet have been changed to be based on the Google (Android 14) Framework.

According to the announcement, the Android 14-based One UI 6 digital car key supports not only sharing between existing Samsung devices but also key sharing with third-party devices such as Google’s Pixel and Apple’s iPhone devices.

Meanwhile, do note that sharing with third-party devices is currently only possible between beta users. However, the Samsung moderator revealed that the sharing will be opened for all users as soon as the One UI 6 Beta Program ends and the Public rollout begins.

  • If you own a Genesis car, you must use the existing Genesis Connected Services App during the beta period.
