Android Auto and cars with Google built-in have introduced new apps and features that will enhance the convenience, safety, and entertainment of drivers and passengers in various situations.

One of the new features is the integration of audio-only meetings from WebEx by Cisco and Zoom on Android Auto, which will enable drivers to join scheduled meetings and conference calls from their car display. Another feature is the availability of Vivaldi, a Chromium-based internet browser, on cars with Google built-in, which will allow users to access the web securely while parked.

Additionally, users will be able to access more entertainment options while parked, as Prime Video is now available on Google Play for select Renault, Polestar and Volvo Cars, with other brands to follow.

Furthermore, drivers and passengers can get weather updates from The Weather Channel, which provides hourly forecasts. Moreover, drivers with a compatible Pixel or Samsung device like Pixel 7 Pro and Galaxy S23 Plus can use a digital car key to unlock, lock, and start their car with just their phone. They can also share their digital key wirelessly with family and friends across both Android and iOS.

Digital car key is now rolling out on select Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia models in the US, Canada, and Korea for compatible devices.
