Samsung Galaxy Watch FE getting One UI 6 Watch update
Samsung has started rolling out a stable One UI 6 Watch update based on Wear OS 5 for the Galaxy Watch FE series. This update is already available for the Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, and Watch 6 series.
One UI 6 Watch update for Samsung Galaxy Watch FE can be identified via the software version ending with BXI4. The installation package size of this update is around 1.7GB.
The major update is currently rolling out for Watch FE users in Korea and the US. It is a gradual rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.
One UI 6 Watch update brings several new features to improve health, fitness, and overall smartwatch use. It adds the Energy Score, which gives you a score based on sleep, activity, heart rate, and more, with tips to help you improve.
Sleep tracking now includes details like movement, heart rate, and respiratory rate, in addition to Sleep Apnea detection. The update also includes New fitness features like the Race option, which compares your running or cycling performance to past workouts, and custom Workout Routines based on your goals.
The update also offers new watch faces, like the Simple Digital and Ultra Info Board. Users can now use Double pinch gestures to answer the call, dismiss alarms, and more.

One UI 7 will improve Samsung LockStar functions for better AOD experience
Samsung is set to improve the Good Lock module’s LockStar functions with the upcoming One UI 7 update. The next major update will address the issue affecting LockStar and the Always-On Display (AOD).
Some Galaxy users have reported issues with the LockStar app. The problem occurs when they try to move the notification icons on the lock screen. These changes also affect the layout of widgets on the Always-On Display (AOD), causing them to overlap.
For instance, if you move the clock on the lock screen, the calendar widget on the AOD also shifts. This can result in the notification icon and calendar overlapping in an unwanted way.
This issue appears to be specific to the Galaxy S24 and wasn’t a problem on earlier models like the Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S10. However, it might be because of the latest software and hardware.
Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged this bug and confirmed that it will be addressed in the One UI 7 update. The update will separate the lock screen settings from the AOD settings, so users will be able to adjust the notification icon and widgets on the lock screen and AOD independently.
One UI 7 update will improve LockStar functions to fix the overlap issue and allow for better customization without problems. For now, users affected by the issue can either adjust their lock screen and AOD settings to avoid the overlap or wait for the One UI 7 update to be released.

Samsung Galaxy M14 4G surfaces with Android 15 and One UI 7
Samsung is testing Android 15 and One UI 7.0 on several of its budget smartphones, and the Galaxy M14 has recently been spotted on Geekbench with the new build. The benchmarking shows the performance of the phone on the next One UI software.
Launched in 2023, Samsung Galaxy M14 4G now appears with One UI 7, but there’s no official Android 15 firmware for the device yet. Notably, the phone scored 419 in the single-core test and 1387 in the multi-core test on Geekbench, giving us a look at how it performs with Android 15.
The Galaxy M14 is for budget phones and they usually get software updates later than flagship models. Since the M14 was released more than a year ago, it’s not surprising that it’s among the ones to get the One UI 7 update.
Aside from this smartphone, Samsung is also testing One UI 7 builds on several other flagships and budget phones. The company is going to open the Beta Program soon for the Galaxy S24 series.
At SDC24, Samsung announced to release of Beta at the end of the year and the stable update with the Galaxy S25 series next year. Once the stable update available, the company will roll out this major update to all eligible devices.
