One UI 5 Watch update arrives in India for Samsung Galaxy Watch 5
Samsung has kicked off a major One UI 5 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5 series in India. Based on Google’s Wear OS, the update brings new features and improvements to the smartwatches.
One UI 5 Watch improves the health and fitness tracking capabilities of the Galaxy Watch devices. It offers Sleep Coaching and heart rate zones as new features to assist users in improving their sleep quality and cardio workouts.
Sleep Coaching gives personalized guidance and tasks based on the user’s sleep patterns. Heart rate zones show the intensity of the user’s heart activity during cardio exercises. These features help users monitor and optimize their health and wellness.
In addition, this major software adds new watch faces that suit different styles and moods. Some of these watch faces were launched with the Galaxy Watch 6, which is Samsung’s latest smartwatch model. The Galaxy Watch 6 has minor hardware enhancements over the previous generation and runs One UI 5 Watch by default.
Furthermore, the update installs the July 2023 security patch to improve the security and stability of devices.
The update is available now for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in India with firmware ending with BWH5 and a package size of around 1.7GB. The update will reach other eligible Wear OS-based Galaxy smartwatches in the coming days or weeks.
