A reverse engineering firm – IC Knowledge analyzed that the performance of Intel 4 process products is comparable to Samsung and TSMC’s 3nm process. It means the degree of transistor integration is higher than that of other companies’ 3nm process.

Intel 4 node is a process that is particularly focused on power efficiency. Intel VP William Grimm explained, “If the Intel 7 process is a process that focuses on maximizing performance, this Intel 4 has focused on increasing power efficiency,” and “it is suitable for applications such as laptops.”

Grimm also disclosed that EUV production capacity has been secured enough to meet market demand and plans for the next few years have been established. Intel 3 is a 4nm process scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
