Samsung One UI 5.1.1 brings 2 enhancements to Galaxy S23 series [Gallery]
Verizon begins rolling out a surprising One UI 5.1.1 update to Samsung Galaxy S23 series. This new Android 13-based One UI iteration comes with 2 modifications for Galaxy smartphones. Both changes aim to offer better accessibility to features.
According to Verizon, One UI 5.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra moves Call Background menu to Contact Details. In addition, Samsung Messages app has added the conversations and contacts tabs at the top for easier and more convenient access while sharing images.

Contacts
The Call Background menu has been moved to Contact Details.
- Select a contact > Select the three dots (More options) > Select Edit call background to change the background of your contact.
Messages
- When you share an image with the Samsung Messages app, the conversations and contacts tabs are now shown at the top for easy access.
Is it really One UI 5.1.1?
Judging from the build version ending with AWGH, there’s no doubt that it’s not a full-fledged One UI 5.1.1 update. Samsung may have included the new software’s enhancements, but the build version would not likely change in the phone’s About section.
About 10 days back, Samsung started the Android 14 Beta program for the Galaxy S23 series. Carrier-unlocked and T-Mobile consumers can register for the Beta program and get the new software over the air. Talking about official, the Stable update will debut later this year.
Millions of Samsung consumers are eligible for the One UI 6.0 update. Before the October end, Samsung started to release the Stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 to the Galaxy S23 series devices. The expansion will continue along with new Galaxy devices in the update party.
Back in August, the South Korean tech giant started its Android 14 Beta Program, which took about two months to transform into Stable One UI 6.0 update. Notably, various Galaxy devices (mid-range and flagships) were able to test Android 14 through the One UI 6 in certain markets.
