Samsung Bixby can now speak in Indian English accent

Samsung Bixby adds an Indian English accent with its August 2023 update. With the latest release, the company has enhanced its virtual assistant to respond in the Indianized English accent. It provides Indian users with a more natural experience while interacting with Bixby on Galaxy devices.

By incorporating the Indian accent, Samsung Bixby will provide a natural user experience to Indian users by accurately pronouncing Indian entities such as contacts, locations, etc. The new voice is supported across all Bixby-enabled devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and more.

How to enable?

Please update to the latest version of Bixby Application to experience the new Indianized English response (check this by going to Bixby Settings -> About Bixby).

Users can use Voice 1 by setting the language to “English (India)” & the voice style to “Voice 1” (Set this by going to Bixby Settings -> Language and voice style).

Note: Users that have enabled On-device Bixby would be required to download the Voice 1 package by clicking on the download icon next to the voice profile as illustrated in the image below.
