Samsung is reportedly upgrading the camera capabilities of its next Ultra flagship smartphone. A well-known tipster just revealed details of the new 50MP 3x telephoto sensor, which could be used in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

As per IceUniverse, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is to adopt a new 3x sensor of 50MP resolution. The tipster further added that this sensor’s pixel size is 0.6μm and its optical format is 1/2.52″.

This upgraded 3x zoom sensor reported offers image quality as good as 5x. This means, the next-gen Galaxy S Ultra will deliver better results in shots from 3x to 10x zoom range, thanks to the rumored advanced intelligence.
