Google Assistant introduces Lens-powered ‘Search screen’ feature

Google Assistant is introducing a Lens-powered “Search screen” feature to replace “What’s on my screen.” Unlike the inconsistent Lens shortcut, the Search screen option reliably appears in the Google Assistant panel on most screens except the home screen.

The Search screen feature offers a dependable alternative to manually capturing and sharing screenshots with Lens. It utilizes Google Lens to analyze your current screen and provides filters like Translate, Text, Homework, Shopping, and Places.

This feature is being gradually rolled out to various Pixel phones with the latest Google app version 14.31 beta. The company is planning to release this feature globally over the next few months.
