The second-gen Galaxy SmartTag is reportedly coming later this year. After Bluetooth certification, Samsung’s new Galaxy SmartTag passed through the FCC, which revealed its live photo. Rather than the branding, the company might give it a name prior to the launch.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 (model number EI-T5600), is shown as less square and more oval-shaped than its predecessor, and it features a much bigger hole for keyrings, which could offer you the accessibility to easily attach it directly to one.

Adding to this, the forthcoming Galaxy SmartTag 2 features both Bluetooth LE on board as well as UWB connectivity. Do note that the first-gen SmartTag lacked UWB, but the SmartTag+ rectified that. This time around, it looks like there will be only one model.
