Name of Samsung’s budget Flip phone all but confirmed

Samsung’s naming mystery for the first budget Flip phone is almost confirmed. In a recent development, an unreleased Galaxy phone with model number SM-F761B has been spotted on NBTC certification, confirming the marketing term.
As spotted by 91Mobiles, Samsung’s SM-F761B is called Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, the first budget Flip phone. There were speculations about the device’s marketing name, but it’s now apparently confirmed to be the Z Flip 7 FE.
Tagging the Fan Edition along with the usual model indicates that Samsung will bring more Fan Edition flip phones in the future. It would also enhance the budget foldable’s sales potential, putting it closer to its parent model.
NBTC is a necessary certification that ensures the product launch in Thailand. Earlier, the Samsung device was spotted on the BIS of India and the FCC authority of the United States, solidifying its debut in those markets too.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE – Rumored Specs
There’s a lot of buzz regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. However, no one’s talking heavily about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Based on the previous leaks and rumors, here’s what potential buyers can expect from the Flip 7 FE.
The smartphone could be powered by Exynos 2400 under the hood. Samsung debuted this 4nm chipset with the Galaxy S24 and S24+, which offers decent performance and seamless multitasking as well as fine power efficiency.
It’s also expected that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could boot Android 16-based One UI 8. The storage configurations may be 128GB and 256GB, with RAM that could be capped at 8GB, mimicking the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s specifications.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 to get stunning visual upgrade with S25-like wallpaper glow

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 could feature a striking wallpaper glow effect for the lock screen to home screen transition. The S25 series offers seamless transition from lock to home, and the same experience would be seen on the next foldables.
Leaker PandaFlashPro revealed that Samsung equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 with “7” style wallpaper, which integrates seamless transition and glow effects for switching the view from lock screen to home screen.
The source mentioned a “smooth glow” transition between the lock screen and the home screen. This is something Samsung has introduced in the S25 series earlier this year. Based on One UI 8, the new glow animation would feel even better and reliable.
The Galaxy S25 series debuted unique “S” style wallpapers. The pictures are crafted keeping in mind a seamless glow effect. Similarly, the next-gen foldables will feature special “7” number style wallpapers with smooth glow animations.
Samsung is already teasing Ultra experiences in its upcoming devices. The Fold 7, in particular, is getting a larger screen and a 200MP camera. Galaxy AI would also feature a notable boost, built on the new One UI 8 with Android 16.
Samsung has released three official teasers, hyping the Fold model. Reports say the Galaxy Z Flip FE would also be unveiled alongside. The Galaxy Flip7 is set to launch with an Exynos 2500 chip and a Moto Razr-like full-view screen.
The Galaxy Unpacked event could be held in mid-July this year. Recent developments point to a potential event around July 13. The venue would be New York, as Samsung is eyeing foldable expansion in the United States.

Samsung is still replacing green line screens for free

Samsung is addressing a display problem affecting some Galaxy S series phones in India. Samsung is still offering free OLED replacements for green or pink line screens, helping users restore their devices without the repair cost burden.
Got an annoying green or pink line ruining your Samsung Galaxy phone’s screens? You’re not alone!
This glitch, often showing up as a vertical line after a software update, has been appearing on OLED screens in models like the Galaxy S20, S21, S21 FE, S22, and S23 series. It’s not your fault – Samsung believes it’s a software hiccup, not damage from drops or spills.
To qualify, your Galaxy smartphone needs to be less than three years old and free of physical or water damage. Just bring your original purchase receipt to an authorized Samsung service center and get the phone inspected.
The program runs until September 30, 2025, so you’ve got time, but don’t sleep on it. Note that some service centers might charge a small labor fee (around Rs 600 / $7), but it’s way cheaper than a full screen replacement.
If your Galaxy has developed a green line on the screen, book an appointment at a Samsung service center and double-check that your device meets the criteria to avoid any surprises.
It’s worth noting that this deal is only for India and covers specific models, so if you’ve got a newer phone like the Galaxy S24, reach out to Samsung to see if you’re eligible.
Samsung’s stepping up here, just like OnePlus did for similar issues. OnePlus now officially considers the line on display an industry-wide defect on OLED screens, offering a lifetime warranty on such problems.

Galaxy S25 FE inches toward release as firmware expands beyond the US

After launching the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung is now preparing to add a more affordable model to the Galaxy S25 series. A new report claims that Samsung might launch the Galaxy S25 FE soon.
A new software build for the Galaxy S25 FE has appeared online, this time in South Korea. Earlier, the phone’s build was spotted in the United States. The expansion of the firmware suggests that Samsung is actively working to get the Galaxy S25 FE ready for launch.
Samsung has started firmware development for the S25 FE with the Korean model number SM-S731K (S731NKSU0AYF2), following the US variant (SM-S731U). The phone is likely to come with Android 16 and One UI 8.

The Galaxy S25 FE continues Samsung’s Fan Edition series, which offers great features at a lower price. After skipping a Fan Edition phone in 2021, Samsung has released one every year. The Galaxy S20 FE 5G was especially popular, and the S25 FE is expected to follow its success.
However, Samsung hasn’t confirmed any details about the Galaxy S25 FE, but previous leaks revealed some of its features. This phone is almost confirmed to use Exynos 2400 around the world, as it was spotted on the Geekbench platform with it.
Aside from this, the Galaxy S25 FE could have a 12MP front camera, just like the Galaxy A56. On the back, it may have a 50-megapixel primary, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel Telephoto camera.
As the firmware development progresses in multiple regions, it’s clear that Samsung is moving closer to officially launching the Galaxy S25 FE. If the company follows its usual timeline, fans can expect an affordable yet powerful addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup very soon.

Here’s when Samsung might launch Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 in India – Check what’s coming alongside

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones very soon. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, a new leak now reveals when the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will arrive in India.
According to reliable tipster @yaabhishekhd, Samsung is expected to launch its new foldable phones, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, in India in the third week of July 2025. This timeline lines up with Samsung’s usual launch pattern for foldables, which mainly takes place around mid to late July.
In the new foldable lineup, Samsung is expected to launch three models, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and a third model, which might be called the Galaxy Z Flip FE. The exact name of the third phone is not confirmed yet.
Along with the foldable phones, Samsung will repotedly unveil its new smartwatches. These include the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. These new watches may come with better health tracking features, improved battery life, new design, and faster performance.
However, there is no information yet about the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, so it is not clear if Samsung will launch that model this time. Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra instead of the Galaxy Watch Classic.
In addition to phones and watches, Samsung may also release two new wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Buds 3 FE. These could be a more affordable option compared to its other earbuds.
We will have to wait for Samsung’s official announcement, but it looks like mid-July 2025 will be an exciting time for Samsung fans in India. Stay tuned for more information.
