Samsung Galaxy A52 and A52s will get Android 14 and One UI 6

Back in 2021, the South Korean tech giant launched the Galaxy A52 and A52 5G. A few months later, the company added the Galaxy A52s to the range, which equips a powerful Snapdragon processor. All of the models came preloaded with Android 11-based One UI 3 OS.

Thanks to the three OS upgrades policy, Samsung will be rolling out the major Android 14 and One UI 6 to the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s 5G. The rollout could happen later this year, while there’s no chance of Beta Program for the models.

Through the new organization, the South Korean tech giant plans to accelerate project speed with customers and expedite the commercialization of ASB. Samsung SDI aims to commercialize ASB by 2027.

Samsung SDI is focusing on the development of all-solid-state batteries with an energy density of over 900 Wh/L by adopting sulfide-based technology, which can achieve the fastest lithium-ion flow (ion conductivity) per unit volume.

The ASB is a next-generation battery, which transfers ions between the positive and negative electrodes, from liquid to solid, improving safety and performance. It has advantages such as higher energy density than conventional lithium-ion batteries and lower risk of fire or explosion.
