Samsung begins testing new June update for Galaxy S23 series
Samsung has reportedly stopped the June 2023 update rollout to the Galaxy S23 series and preparing a new build with additional bug fixes. Now, the CheckFirm app detected a new June 2023 firmware on the Samsung server, which confirms a new update coming soon to Galaxy S23 smartphones.
According to the info, Samsung is now testing AWF3 build on the Galaxy S23 series. Initially, the firmware was spotted for Korean CSC, with expansion has taken place to European and Indian CSCs. The new update is expected to start rolling out in certain markets by the end of June.
Initially, the South Korean tech giant started the June update rollout in select Southeast Asian countries. Later on, the S23 series users in Europe also got the over-the-air update, taking their phones to the latest June 2023 Android patches.
With its June 2023 update, Samsung provided a new 2x portrait mode option to the S23 Ultra. This makes it possible to capture even more accurately blurred portrait shots with better depth effects. This solution reportedly uses S23 Ultra’s 50-megapixel camera resolution from the primary sensor.
Meanwhile, it appears like the company has found severe bugs, which are forcing it to halt the rollout. The current build that is under development is S91xNKSU2AWF3, which would be changed with time. Stay connected with us, we will keep you updated with the developments.
