Google and HP have announced a partnership to manufacture Chromebooks in India, making them the first Chromebooks to be made in the country. The partnership aims to improve the digital education scenario in India by providing affordable and secure computing devices to students and educators.
According to the information, the Chromebooks will be produced at the Flex Facility near Chennai, where HP has been making various laptops and desktops since August 2020. The production of HP Chromebooks starts on October 2, 2023.
Chromebooks are the leading devices in K-12 education globally, with over 50 million students and teachers using them. Chromebooks have built-in accessibility and security features that make them ideal for online learning.

Google Messages updates its share sheet with a new conversation picker
Google is testing a new way to share and forward texts and chats from Messages for Android that is a Conversation Picker feature. Instead of a pop-up window, you will see a full-screen page where you can choose who to send the message to.
Users can search for a contact or choose one from the list of recent conversations. In addition, they can view the last message in each conversation to help them make a decision as well as select multiple recipients and tap Next to proceed to the chat screen.
The new page also shows all your contacts below the recent conversations. However, it does not show their phone numbers, which might be confusing if users have multiple entries for the same person.
This new feature is not widely available yet, even in the beta version of Google Messages. It might be a server-side switch that Google is testing with a small group of users. It is not clear when it will be rolled out to everyone.
YouTube Music’s comments: A low-key but powerful social media tool for music fans
YouTube Music offers a feature that allows music lovers to interact with each other through comments. Users can comment on any song, video, or podcast that they are listening to and join the conversation with other users who have similar tastes. Users can also explore user-generated playlists from the community and see their top listens.
Google could improve this YouTube Music feature by adding the option to comment on albums and playlists, and by letting users follow other users and see their comments in a feed. This would make YouTube Music a unique place to connect with music and people.
The UI was redesigned a few weeks ago to make key actions more accessible. Now, users can swipe up a panel of comments from the main YouTube app with just one tap on Android and iOS devices.
YouTube Music is not just a streaming service, but also a social network for music enthusiasts. It provides a platform for users to express themselves and engage with others through music. It also helps users discover new music and expand their musical horizons. YouTube Music is a place where music and people come together.
