Samsung Wallet app update

Samsung has recently updated the stock Calculator app with One UI 6 support. Today, Samsung is rolling out the June 2023 update to Good Lock’s Nice Catch app, which makes it supported for the upcoming One UI 5.1.1 software version.

The Samsung Nice Catch app v5.0.01.02 update brings One UI 5.1.1 support. In addition, the release brings some minor improvements for a better user experience. Notably, One UI 5.1.1 is a foldable-exclusive software, which will come pre-loaded in the Galaxy Z5 series.

This new software will also be released to select older flagship devices including foldable and tablets running Android 13. Meanwhile, it’s important to mention that the 5.1.1 iteration will not bring the most anticipated Android 14 upgrade to your Galaxy.

Since the Android 14 and Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 are on their way, Samsung is making apps compatible so they will continue to run after the OS switch. Meanwhile, some plugins would not be accessible, due to the requirement of a major upgrade, expected to release later this year.

For now, Samsung fans having eligible Galaxy device for the Good Lock customization suite can download and install the first One UI 5.1.1 supported app – Nice Catch through Galaxy Store. You just need to open Good Lock, hit the hamburger menu, and choose the Update function.

Samsung Theme Park 1.1.00.8 update

As promised, Samsung has released a new update for its Theme Park Good Lock Module with version 1.1.00.8. This update is rolling out to Android 14 Galaxy devices and brings new enhancements to provide a better experience.

The fresh update of the Samsung Theme Park app brings a major change to the theme application process, moving from the previous ‘APK installation method’ to a more unified ‘theme application method’ (Color Palette).

This new method is not just a name change but represents an advancement in efficiency and user experience. It promises a faster theme creation and application process, allowing users to apply their desired themes faster. Additionally, the update introduces the ability to edit and overwrite existing themes.

With this update, icons for newly installed applications will automatically align with the current icon theme to provide a consistent visual experience.

However, due to these changes, some functions have been discontinued. These include the ‘App’s theme settings’ and ‘Color palette change’ options within Theme Park. The ‘Keycap Style’ under the Keyboard settings and the ‘Folder Shape Change’ feature of the Home Screen are no longer available.

Samsung advises users to ensure that QuickStar and Keys Cafe are updated to the latest versions to maintain compatibility with Theme Park. Users will have to download a 24.6 MB package to install the Samsung Theme Park 1.1.00.8 update.

Samsung Theme Park One UI 6.1 update

April 2024 is going on and Samsung has announced the release of a new version of the Theme Park Good Lock module soon. The new update for this Good Lock module will enhance the user experience with efficiency and customization.

The upcoming update for the Theme Park app can be identified via version 1.1.00.08 and will change to a new functional method instead of an APK installation. According to the information, the new version will allow for the faster creation and application of themes, simplifying the process significantly.

In addition, users will be able to modify and manage their existing themes. The update will also ensure that the design of any icon pack in use is consistently applied to all newly installed applications.

The new Theme Park app works with various Good Lock plugins including QuickStar and Keys Cafe. To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, users are advised to install the latest versions of these plugins.

Moreover, the company has also shared some temporary limitations due to the changes in the way themes are applied. These limitations are:

  • The ability to apply custom images in theme decoration, along with specific styles such as ‘Keycap style’ for keyboards and ‘Home screen’ folder shapes, will be restricted.
  • Options such as ‘App-specific theme settings’ and ‘Change color palette’ will be unavailable for the time being.

Samsung is regularly evaluating and updating these features and will provide updates on support for each app in the future. The company aims to minimize any inconvenience and hopes that users will enjoy the improved speed and functionality. The new update will be compatible with One UI 6.1 and One UI 6.0 devices.
