Samsung launches Exynos Auto V920 for Hyundai EVs
In the field of vehicle infotainment, Samsung starts its first collaboration with Hyundai Motor. Today, Samsung introduced the Exynos Auto V920 processor for premium IVI (in-vehicle infotainment) to vehicles of Hyundai Motor, scheduled for rollout in 2025.
Samsung Exynos Auto V920 is a Deca Core processor equipped with 10 of Arm’s latest battlefield central processing units, and the CPU performance has improved by about 1.7 times compared to the previous product. It also supports LPDDR5 memory to control up to 6 high-pixel displays and 12 camera sensors.

Moreover, significant improvements have been made to the processor’s graphics and AI performance. With integrated advanced GPU cores featuring graphics processing capabilities up to two times faster than its predecessor, Exynos Auto V920 provides a rich graphical user interface.
The company has also applied the latest computational core to the “Exynos Auto V920” to enhance the performance of the NPU by about 2.7 times. The driver monitoring function that recognizes the driver’s voice and detects condition, as well as quickly grasps the surroundings, provides a safer driving environment for the user.
Additionally, the new EV chip supports ASIL-B (Automotive Safety Integrity Level), which is the safety standard for vehicle systems and provides high stability, such as preventing system malfunctions that may occur during vehicle operation.

Google Messages is getting a new look for its voice recorder UI. The microphone icon in the text field will change to a waveform icon, which is different from the voice typing button in Gboard.
Instead of holding down the mic to record, you will now see a panel with a start/stop button and options to cancel, delete, or attach the recording. You will also see a waveform and a timer while recording, and you can play back the recording before sending it.
The voice messages preview will also show a waveform between the play/pause button and the timer, making it more noticeable than the current straight line.
These changes are not widely available yet, but some users have reported seeing them on their phones. These new changes are part of a bigger redesign that Google is working on for Messages, which includes a revamped home screen that is still in beta testing. Google might announce new features soon.
Samsung managed to create an ecosystem of FE products, which are not too far from launch. In October, Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Meanwhile, a tipster just leaked the official promotional material of these upcoming devices.

Notably, a leaked promo shows off the control center of the Galaxy S23 FE, which mentions October 4 as the date. This means the company is preparing to hold its FE products launch on the same date as Google’s Made by Google event for Pixel 8 series.
