Android’s native contacts app – Google Contacts will get a bunch of design tweaks soon. The upcoming changes are expected to be redesigned buttons, location-sharing tiles powered by Google Maps, and a new tile in the Highlights tab.
According to Telegram channel GoogleNews, the Google Contacts app version 4.9.19.533509922 included several design tweaks that require server-side activation. Unlike the flagged ones, it’s not possible to make these hidden changes visible before release.
Here are the notable design changes:
- Redesigned Call, Text, etc. buttons, which are now presented as a circle with an icon inside.
- • A new ‘Google Maps · Location sharing’ tile, which when clicked will open a map with the contact’s location (if they have shared the location with you).
- • A new tile will appear on the ‘Highlights’ tab with Suggestions for who to add to your favorites. As stated, this is “based on who you interact with most”.

Samsung rolling out the Good Lock April 2024 update through the Galaxy Store. The release brings functional improvements and bug fixes to Samsung’s One UI customization suite.

The update’s changelog mentions improvement for the “Update all” function. Bug fixes are also included which should improve the customization experience. Hence, Galaxy users are advised to install the latest version as soon as they receive it via the Galaxy Store.
Good Lock’s latest update comes as a fresh release over the last that happened in late January. The application hasn’t received any new updates in February and March. This makes the April release a significant update in terms of bringing improvements.
