Captions box that optimizes Live Caption coming to Samsung Galaxy tablets
Google announced a new Captions box, which optimizes Live Caption is coming to Android tablets, including Samsung Galaxy Tab models. The company has not specified when it will rollout this new accessibility feature to consumers, but it’s likely to happen this Summer.
Way back in May 2019, the company introduced the Live Caption feature on Android platform. However, it took a long time for Google to deliver this intelligent accessibility function to tablets. Thanks to the new Captions box, the Live Caption feature is finally coming to Samsung Galaxy and Android tablets.

Apart from its expansion to tablets, Google announced that Live Caption for calls will be available on Pixel 4 and 5 as well as additional Android devices, like select Samsung Galaxy. Besides, French, Italian, and German languages will also be supported following the update.
Google is expected to release the official Android 14 by early August, while a feature-packed firmware coming to Pixel phones next month. Most likely, the June Feature Drop will introduce these newly announced accessibility features to the Android operating system.
Live Caption was initially deployed for audio, and Google further expanded it to videos and even phone calls. When enabled, this function allows for any video or audio you are listening to, to be automatically captioned. It’s like a boon for those who can’t hear or see due to physical disabilities.
