Samsung May 2023 security update reaches unlocked Galaxy S23 models
Samsung has started rolling out the May 2023 security update for carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S23 series in the US. Earlier this month, carrier-locked models received this latest patch.
Users of Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are receiving the latest Android patch with version S911U1UES1AWC9, S916U1UES1AWC9, and S918U1UES1AWC9 respectively. For installation, users just need to download the 395.95 megabytes package.
May 2023 update is currently rolling out for carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23 series on T-Mobile network in the US and the company will soon make it available for all carriers. Users already received this update in Australia, Poland, the US, India, and, Europe.
Samsung’s May 2023 security patch fixes 4 critical, 48 high, and 3 moderate levels of common vulnerability exposures, however, 2 were fixed in the previous release and 1 isn’t applicable on Galaxy devices. Through this patch, the company mends issues related to App Lock, Telephony framework, Call Settings, and Bootloader.

Samsung has started releasing One UI 5.1.1 update for Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G smartphones. The update is rolling out on the Verizon network in the US. The latest update installs the August 2023 security patch to improve system security and stability.
