Samsung to stick with 200-megapixel HP2 camera until Galaxy S26 Ultra
This year’s Galaxy S Ultra flagship came with a new flagship image sensor, which may be continued for the next three generations. An alleged Samsung flagship camera roadmap suggests Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Ultra stick with the 200-megapixel HP2 camera.
According to tipster @Tech_Reve, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may use the same 200-megapixel HP2 camera used in the S23 Ultra. With the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the company may introduce an HP2 successor, featuring “significant light receiver upgrades and 17nm logic.”

In the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung could use the same sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, following the same strategy it could follow with the first generation HP2. Unquestionably, you may have been wondering about the sensor size, which became a major topic of discussion among enthusiasts.
The ISOCELL HP2, which has a 200-megapixel resolution, measures 1/1.3-inch in order to maintain the thickness of the smartphone when used. However, Sony launched a huge 1-inch sized smartphone camera, which debuted with a number of models over the past months.
Still, Samsung appears to be skipping the race of increasing sensor size in flagship phones, at least for three years. As per the input, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could come with a new ISOCELL camera with a sensor size of 1/1.12 inches, close to the full 1-inch dimension.
Samsung will continue to hear consumer feedback and innovate things that mate the users’ requirements. As the camera roadmap arrives too early, it’s based on the company’s previous moves of using flagship camera sensors, however, it shouldn’t be taken as a final or official move.

A user managed to check the temperature of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which registered over 100-degree Fahrenheit. The model is getting warm even without using it as well as sometimes minutes after connecting the USB C-Type charging cable.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series in February, while the Galaxy S24 series is reportedly coming earlier. Recently, Korean media reported that the parts production for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 smartphones could begin in mid-October.
According to a reliable source, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. The tipster claims the devices may be unveiled around January 18, but it’s not confirmed. Notably, Korean media reports that the S24 series will go official a month earlier than this year.
