Samsung Galaxy S23 May 2023 update lands in Europe
After the initial rollout, Samsung adds new devices to the update queue every day as well as expands the update to more regions. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is receiving May 2023 security update in Europe.
The new software for Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones have firmware versions S911BXXS1AWD1, S916BXXS1AWD1, and S918BXXS1AWD1 respectively.
May 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S23 fixes more than 70 issues including 4 critical, 48 high, and 3 moderate level of common vulnerability exposures, however, 2 were fixed in the previous release and 1 isn’t applicable on Galaxy devices.
It is just a regular security patch so no new features have been added to the Galaxy S23 series but it makes your device more secure by fixing several issues.
The rollout began in Europe and should extend to more markets soon. However, the update is already available in the US, India, Australia, and Poland.

Users of Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones in Europe can manually check and install May 2023 update by following some easy steps. Open Settings, press on the Software Update option, and then click on the Download and install option. You just need to download a 344.57 megabytes package to install the update.
After unlocked models, Samsung has started releasing the April 2024 security update for carrier-locked variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in the US. The update is live on Comcast, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile network carriers.
April 2024 security patch fixes over 40 security flaws to provide an intuitive experience. It protects against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android. It also enhances some functions to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience.
Users of locked Samsung Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones can identify the April 2024 security update in the US through PDA version N98XUSQS6HXD1.

Samsung has acknowledged the Quick Panel issue in its latest One UI 6.1 update that is affecting users. The issue unexpectedly activates the quick panel when users interact with notifications or try to access detailed views. This problem has been a cause of inconvenience for many Galaxy users.
The tech giant has assured its users that a fix is in the works. A community moderator said the company apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this bug and has promised to deliver a software update to resolve the Quick panel issue on One UI 6.1 devices.
Samsung has not provided a specific timeline for the update but suggested keeping devices up-to-date to benefit from the latest software advancements. The upcoming update is expected to resolve the Quick Panel issue.

Samsung has pushed an April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones in Korea. This update enhances system security and stability as well as adds new features for a better user experience.
April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22 series in Korea brings Mobile ID support for the Samsung Wallet app. Through this update, users can save and use their government-issued mobile driver’s license and national veterans registration card on their phones.
However, only IC cards with a mobile ID icon can be added. Users can use it anywhere just like your real ID. In addition, the update also applies the Google security patch to enhance the performance

Users will have to download a 420MB package to install the update. To install the update, need to navigate to Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and install.
