Samsung has skipped the Galaxy S22 FE along with canceling the Galaxy A74 this year. Meanwhile, it looks like the company may not do the same with the Fan Edition of the latest Galaxy S23 series. A new rumor claims, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could get a 50-megapixel camera.

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will come with a 50-megapixel main camera, similar to the Galaxy S23 and S22 flagships. In addition, the report believes that the smartphone may be equipped with Exynos 2200 processor used in the Galaxy S22 series.

It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy S21 FE features a 12-megapixel primary camera, which lags behind competitors in the same price range. As the company brought a 50-megapixel sensor to a number of Galaxy devices this year, the S23 FE may not be an exception.

As for the other two other camera sensors, the report cites nothing, however, we can speculate the same ultrawide and Telephoto as the S21 FE. In terms of the front camera, the Galaxy S23 FE may continue the 32-megapixel snapper, instead of the new 12-megapixel used in the S23 series.

S23 FE coming later this year

Samsung is reportedly launching the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July 2023. In the next few months, the company will be working on the development and promotion of these new foldable phones. This suggests the Galaxy S23 FE may get an official release, later this year.

With an early Galaxy Z5 series launch, the company may get generate more revenue in the third quarter, while the S23 FE may help it skip leaving the fourth quarter entirely.
